there is a joke (or at the very least an observation) to be made about having DID with several parts that handle sex and one of those parts being a massive sub while another is a stone cold top. something something yeah I'm a switch. switching right now that is. gimme one second I'm gonna be such a good girl when this other guy leaves.

wow, what a month its been.

one emergency department visit, 3 weeks in intensive outpatient, and now a 6 hour a day, 5 days a week partial hospital program.

does that sound exhausting? it's because it is. sometimes it's hard to find reasons to keep trying so hard to get better.

we find them though. this time it was making a bracelet on our break between all the therapy groups and psych visits.

say hi to green everybody. i'm very very proud of them for coming forward, even with how difficult it's been lately. thank you green, for trusting us with your pain, and for helping us find ways to smile through it anyways.

my first comic, in a way. made this more than 5 years ago in the ER before a hospitalization - this is the way we used to visualize red when we didn't know.

Drawn with broken crayons given to me by the nurse, and held into a composition book with some medical tape.

Art from 12+ sketchbooks between 2016-2026. 10 years of art work!

This was a compelling project to gather representations of ourselves over the years. Some of these are drawn 5+ years before our diagnosis. Its nice to know we've grown.

Obviously, traditional art is more our strong suit! But trying digital for this blog has been an engaging learning experience. (yes just a few of these are photos of digital art sketches, dont judge me lol)

jumbled, antagonistic, confused, scared. just trying to hold it together.

baseline functioning has been a struggle lately. we're in a transitional period in our lives and everyone has a different idea on what to do next. we end up not doing much instead, unsurprisingly.

getting the hang of digital art more, and giving us more detail and features has been a helpful process. we're doing necks now? kinda fw it. we'll see if it sticks
