All women are forced to live under an arbitrary and unfair system which sorts us into the categories of “Fuckable” and “Worthless.” The solution to this is NOT to expand the definition of “Fuckable.”
“All women are beautiful” is a cute sentiment and all but it’s ultimately the wrong one. All women are valuable, all women are people, whether you can be generous enough to find unconventional beauty in their appearance or not.
#women were not put on this earth to be decorative (x)
sorry i didn’t respond im losing my fucking mind

A true American hero

They killed him. His name was Muhiyidin Moye.
He was killed 1 year after this video, according to what I’ve gathered online. Someone tried to knock him off his bike and shot him even as he rode away. He made it to a hospital, but, he still died due to blood loss as he’d left a trail of blood in his path.
All activists who you can name/you see make an impact are viewed as a threat to those in power or those who regard themselves as having power over minority groups. The more of these names I learn, the more I wait in anticipation to hear if they are still here or if their lives have been taken too soon yet.
Here’s a PBS article because I like to believe they’re less biased than most.
Roosevelt Iglus had been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 32-year-old Muhiyidin Moye, better known as Muhiyidin d'Baha, of
I’m reblogging again cause this is crazy, please block out the faces & your face of you at a protest. Protect yourselves and each other. 😨
This is exactly why we tell y’all stop posting protesters faces and clothes without black squares over them, not no pixelated or blurred stuff. STAY SAFE!!!
So many visible activists have been murdered over the years (especially in Ferguson, MI). What scares me is that so many people don’t know that this happens a lot. I had a Black man tell me (a friend) that I was being a conspiracy theorists when I claimed that activists were being murdered when coroners were claiming suicides. I agreed that poor mental health can push Black people over, but then way too many started happening and my friend apologized for questioning my gut.
