“Duuude! You look awesome! Are you here for the Comic-Con this weekend as well?” Fred may or may not be cosplaying as one of his favorite comic book characters: Megazon. But right now, he was intrigued by this mans appearance.

A frown grew between dark brows, lips pursing slightly in regard of the strangely dressed mortal before him. A costume of some sort? It must be, for the construction, though unusually well done did not seem combat worthy. Elegant fingers lacing before him, posture upright and attentive. ‘Awesome’ was the Midgardian equivalent of saying something looked good. So the young man was complimenting him strangely enough.

❝ Is this a festival with others dressed such as yourself? ❞ He finally settled on inquiring.

         With things so quiet lately, Honey had been trying to catch up with both projects          and homework, and her arms were full with both boxes and books. Despite her          height, she couldn’t see well, and that resulted in smacking hard into somebody,          her things tumbling down out of her arms and her cheeks blooming red in chagrin.           “I am SO sorry..!”

It always amazed him how mortals could be in one moment so perceptive and then in another completely oblivious to the world around them. The woman, taller than most females he had encountered on Midgard yet young even by mortal standards was clearly not paying attention.

 Arms laden with books and the like, it was clear that she was an accident waiting to happen. The foreseeable came to pass when she collided into him with remarkable aim. 

Instinct from so many similar instances had him acting to catch what things of hers he could to prevent them becoming damaged. Books were one of the things that he truly loved and cherished. They were an escape, a vast ocean of knowledge and alluring in every aspect of their thick binding. 

❝ Perhaps it would be advisable to not walk with so heavy a load. ❞

Came his cool advise, emerald hues cutting across her in silent regard. It was advise that he had not so similarly followed in his youth. It was one of the reason the dark haired prince had taken the making the library his haunt.

There was some realization of familiarity on his face, marking some checkpoint in their interaction. As to what it was she couldn’t be absolutely sure. He wasn’t angry or against her as far as she could tell, but Riza could read the tension and resistance of friendliness emanating from his eyes.

“Yes. But from where, I’m unfamiliar with.”

It took Loki a moment longer to realize that it wasn’t the golden hair female before him that was creating the crawling sensation under his skin. No, there was something else at work here, in this world. Where in the nine had he fallen to come to a world that felt so...odd. So wrong in a sense. It was almost as though magic coursed through the veins of this world and yet it wasn’t. At least not the type that Loki was familiar with. This was something else, something more primitive in a sense.

❝ As I am unfamiliar with this realm. Come, what is your world called? ❞

For surely this wasn’t Midgard even if there was a sense of faint familiarity between here and there.

Emerald hues flashed for a moment before settling into disquieted consideration. She truly had a keen eye for a mortal, reminding him almost of a predator in the way one regarded it’s pray. There was something distinctively familiar about her though he couldn’t quite...

Ah so that was it. She was a warrior in a similar regard to Sif. No wonder her presence was one of familiarity. The apology softened the tone of her eyes considerably and yet Loki found himself standing stiffly, guarded.  ❝ I would believe that to be obvious. ❞

There was truth there, no doubts of that. However the image that her words invoked had the trickster prince clenching his fists, jaw tense. A simple word rang through his mind–

 ‘No’

 One word that had the power to make him despair and his soul shudder all in one go. His right hand twitched in recollection, the feeling of Gungnir in his hand just moments before he let go.❝ That depends on the recipient of the silence. It, in itself can be a blissful blessing. ❞And yet even those words rang false within his own ears. Silence had sliced him just as sharply as reprove from his father. There truly was no in between.

She watches him silently, lips pursing as she takes in his attire and demeanor. [[ smooshes u ]]

He could feel the needle sharp pin pricks of her focus as those tawny hues took in his form. He felt weighed and judged, as though she was trying him right then and there. He wanted her regard even less then her words, a soft growl issuing from his throat in displeasure.

    her eyes grew a bit sad, ❛ I just.. thought that I could — ❜ a lower of her head in dismay was permitted. ❛ It’s not fair for you to hurt people like that. I should have known though. To trust people like you. To trust.. anyone, really. ❜ with a shake of her head, she quickly took off passed him.

People like him? There were no people like him. Only creatures, monsters waiting to reap chaos and malice. Lips thinned into a line of displeasure, brow furrowed and yet his back remained to her. Her words stuck but more so then that it was the look in her lovely eyes. A pang of something rose in his chest...was it regret? Surely not. He had lied to countless people and yet-- A stillness came over him, noble features tilted downward in silent regard. Even before Loki had fully decided on his course of action, his feet were traitorously taking flight after her. 

Carrying him to her presence, one that stood apart from mortals and yet he couldn’t quite place his finger on what about her was different.

He drew up short, movements silent and pensive. His silver tongue suddenly felt leaden behind his teeth, heavy in his mouth.
