He had left some stuff back home, but his mom had left his room intact, so it made it easier. “I’m Jeremy, new member of staff,” he said, shuffling things around until he had a free hand to offer. 

"A what, comfort book?"  What in the bloody hell was a comfort book?  Preston looked towards the bag, "is that like a book then when it gets too boring you can just use it as a pillow or something?"  He definitely wasn't the type who actually ENJOYED getting to sit around and read when he had free time, but he wasn't going to knock others who did like doing just that.  To each their own and all that good stuff right?  "Preston, staff member, not as new as you but still new enough."  He laughed, unsure of how he was supposed to introduce himself.  Everything in the Haus was so DIFFERENT from what he was used to, though it was rather EXCITING at the same time.
