idk if this has been answered before but, how did you come up with the main characters? their designs are so pretty and they all so interesting!

Ilo was the first design I ever came up with, initially for a whole separate project. At the time, they were just "the Poet", and traveled solo. The original project wasn't even close to a turn based RPG, actually! It was only when I made the decision to work on Passionstruck that the rest of the party came to be.

I think a lot of the designs for the main four were based on the world and story surrounding them. When you have a whole country and its rules ready, it's a little easier to imagine who would live there! It was also fun to figure out how to interpret the color theory battle system into a whole party of characters.

A lot of it also came from shape language, as well as just wanting to write the kinds of characters I liked. huh, i like flowery, tragically desperate musicians?? that's the protagonist now, and they're triangle shaped!!! big chivalrous guys with a soft spot and a connection to their homeland make me feel things?? how about i write one!!!! he be rectangle!!!!!

so a majority of it was just having fun and respecting the world and story I wanted to tell.

Thank you for 400 downloads of Passionstruck! It's been a long week for many, so a doodle may suffice.

In celebration, I'm directly answering audience questions over on my Twitter about anything Passionstruck related. I'm also aiming to set stretch goals soon enough, that way there are fun little rewards as we reach milestones.

The support and love for this game so far has been immense and so fully appreciated. I cherish every fanwork and compliment. I hope to see this game of mine reach so many more passionate people. :)

my tumblr got hacked last night and i managed to get it back this morning. however the passionstruck blog was unfortunately deleted without my knowledge. i have most, if not all text and art backed up personally (bless internet archive), so not much was lost. i will shortly be making a new blog by the same handle and reposting this on there for clarification.
