I’ll be honest, I forgot I had this blog for a while.

I’m a fucking monster. I mean, not really??? I just bought Pride and Prejudice on thriftbooks for like $2.00 (well actually it was nine because I bought another beloved book of mine alongside it but P&P by itself was three dollars.) and I just know. Just watch. By the time I’m 30, I’ll have at least three copies; The one I just bought, that’s already pretty worse for wear, that I’ll write book notes in and probably pass on to my kid if I ever have one (and there will only be one, kids are like highlanders for me), the decent copy, that wouldn’t hold the legacy of my love for this book and is a copy I wouldn’t mind losing, that I’ll lend to friends and take on vacations, and then like, a collectors edition that has a library binding that I’ll buy the one time I get drunk for like $200 (that’s for real that’s what Pride and Prejudice in that edition costs, you have probably already guessed why I know that, don’t shame me) and I’ll never, ever open it, It’ll just go on my shame wall (The bookshelf with all the books I’m ashamed of owning) and it will absolutely be the nicest thing I’ll ever own. I’m a prophet, these are all things that can, and will happen in my future, and will coincide perfectly with my character arch, don’t @ me.

actually no. I would never ever do that to my girl Jane Austen I would NEVER put such a nice copy of P&P next to mother fucking Twilight and Maximum Ride. Yes, I own both complete series, and I’m ashamed of that fact, but they fill up space on my bookshelf and it’s tacky not to have a full shelf. someday I will own enough good literature to replace those books on my shelf… or more likely I’ll by a second, bigger bookshelf.

update to this, my roommate bought me a beautiful copy of P&P that has pressed flowers in the pages and a built in robbon bookmark and it has illustrations and little prop copies of all the letters in the novel written out and stuck between the pages and i’m obsessed with it

In quick play two people were talking about what ships they liked, mercy pharah, widow tracer, mchanzo, that sorta stuff. Then they switch to ships not involving overwatch. One guy, this motherfucker, says his favorite is Oedipus x Jocasta and acts like it's from a lesser known manga. I'm just sitting there trying not to laugh.

And I mean, he could 100% be talking about some stupid show based off of characters from greek tradgedies and what not, that could totally be a thing, I mean, there’s one about lovecraft monsters as sexy anime girls and historical figures as (you guessed it) sexy anime girls and what not, but still the TONE DEAFNESS of saying you ship oedipus and jocasta in any context is absolutely dirt water for brains level buffoonery

Had this guy get upset during a match, as he was complaining someone took a drink and you could hear them sip. The guy audibly got repulsed and asked them to never do that again. The sound made him nauseated apparently. Meanwhile I'd been eating yogurt out of a quart (don't judge) and set the spoon aside and took the loudest slurp of yogurt I've ever done right in the mic. Guy exited the game right quick.

I understand his pet peve thing, shit’s gross abd audio poison, but you just gotta power through it because the world of online multiplayer is like playing with a pack of wild sharks, and if they smell blood they’re going to charge
