I saw this trend on twitter where people asked if you have to convince someone to follow you with ONE drawing, which one would it be? I immediately thought about my fan art of song of Achilles, but it didn't represent my style anymore. So I did a new version! Hope you all like it!

DRAWTOBER #19 - A Thousand Victories by OMGitsgreen

“He has no match in battle,” Apollo said seriously, black eyes burning through Patroclus with their knowledge of deeper things than Patroclus could ever know. “So I shall give him a match.”

In an alternate telling, Patroclus is a farmboy drafted into the side of Troy and barely managing to survive from battle to battle, and Achilles is the best of the Greeks. After interference by the God Apollo, Patroclus becomes the Trojans’ best hope and Achilles’ greatest labor.

day nineteen is a really cool fic that explores the idea of patroclus being achilles’ humanity, and who achilles might have become without patroclus there. lots of brilliant meta references, and really nice character exploration for achilles. it’s also interesting to get to see patroclus absolutely refuse to put up with achilles’ shit - tsoa is lovely in how much he adores achilles, but it is good seeing patroclus forcing achilles to be better.
