Milan wasn’t the biggest fan of babies so truth be told when she found out that her older sister was pregnant she wasn’t the happiest but of course after her nephew was born he wasn’t that bad and enjoyed the little bit of time during the week she’d hang out with her sister and baby. Hearing it was her sisters voice the young blonde quickly put out the joint she was smoking , for one not needing it around her nephew , two wasn’t sure what he sister would say about it “ I mean you might be, who knows, Sometimes he makes some noises and I think ‘ yep he’s here to kill me “ she laughed leaning down a little and playing with the babies hand 

“he does make weird noises, don’t he?” she asked, kissing ben’s head. “you make weird noises sometimes huh? that’s how we know you’re mine,” patience said. “so, what are you up to out here?” she asked, looking at her sister. “did we interrupt something important?”

I really can’t wait to get out of this town. I miss the beach and just going on a boat every weekend with a bunch of friends. As much as the snow is fun I miss the tan and trying to explain to my dads that I wanna go to UCLA for well their law program but also the sun. Do the couple years in California and then switch to Harvard. Now only again explain to my dads why I wanna make this choice.

we have lake beaches, those are pretty fun. and there’s no seaweed to get wrapped around your ankles or seagulls to shit on your head or steal things out of your hand. you’re your own woman, you do what you wanna do regardless of anybody else’s opinion.

There sat the seventeen year old looking out over the one spot in Lima she had found that had any sort of decent view ,it was her calming place when she was getting too much in her head, hearing some leafs crinkle she sat up some more “ if you’re here to murder me .. i have pepper spray and claws for finger nails that i’m not scared to use  and I have some killer lungs that people will be able to hear miles and miles away“ the blonde said “ And if you’re here to join my pity party you can only come if you have tequila or vodka” she added with a sigh. 

ben was a pretty good baby for the most part. of course there were days where he just couldn’t be comforted, but all babies had those days. hell, most adults had those days. and today was one of those days. he was fussy, clingy, and just plain miserable. so patience decided to take a walk with him. after getting him situated in the mommy wrap she swore by, she started their walk. it didn’t take long for her to get to a more shaded spot . the second she stepped on a crunchy leaf, ben made the tiniest giggle. this was the magic spot of the day, then. she kept walking, small laughs coming from the baby now and then, until she heard a familiar voice, to which she rolled her eyes with a smile and walked closer. “are we murderers, button?” she asked, carefully sitting next to her sister and taking the baby out of the wrap.
