Daryl stares at the boy for a moment as if sizing him up. He chuckles softly, putting his hand out for the kid to shake. “Ya don’ gotta call me tha’.”

He nodded noticing the disapproving look, but quickly smiled brushing it aside. “Is it difficult?….To hunt?” Patrick questioned softly trying not to bother Daryl.

Daryl shrugs his shoulders. “I am use ta it. If ya were ta ask a newbie they may say it is hard. I jus’ have always been doin’ it so it is like second nature ta me.” He answers back with ease.

Patrick coughed as his head broke through the water, “H-HEYYY WHAT WAS THAT F-FOR?” He bellowed

His hands reached out to block the spray of water directed at his face. Wiping his face he noticed Collie was at the edge of the water, slowly he swam up beside her with a smirk. Swiftly he climbed up the edge “what was that Doll-face” he winked as he tackled with his hand out for her to grab.

She hadn’t even heard him swim up behind her as she was trying to push herself up on the edge. “Man, you cheat at everything, Patrick. Couldn’t you let me win this one thing?” Laughing, she reached one arm up to grad his hand, and pushed herself out with the other. Once in the grass near the water’s edge, she flopped onto her back and huffed out a feigned sigh of exhaust.

Plopping beside her he rolled his eyes "I gotta beat you at something....You beat me at hunting all the time".

Patrick crossed his arms loosely with a smirk.. “Do you really wan’t to know?”

His face was on fire as he looked away, in fear she would laugh at him. He jumped as her arms wrapped around him and sighed as he listen to her speak. Patrick bit down on his lip as he failed miserably, to hide his smile as she kissed him cheek. “I..Uhhh…I didn’t want it to be awkward or anything if I told you. But I’m glad you find it flattering, cause I really like you…” he replied softly leaning in to wrap his arms around her and bring her in closer.

She stood there and enjoyed their hug for a moment before pulling away. Sending a small smile up toward him, Callie wracked her brain for something, anything, to say. “See? Now we’ve bonded, baby cakes. We’re closer than ever.”

Chuckling he nudged her shoulder with his, "I guess so Doll-face" Patrick smiled lightly.
