Marketers need to measure a lot of things in order to get better. Not everyone does and those that do sometimes measure the wrong things.
Let me get right to the point. Marketing is all about growing your business and there are 7 steps any business can employ today to start growing.
Which comes first – generosity or wealth?

What Consumers Are Looking For...
are “trusted digital friends” to give them advice on what to buy and where to go. Offering valuable advice on your blog can generate trust and influence consumers buying decisions. If you produce compelling articles and useful advice on your blog, you’ll become a trusted source of information, and people will start to spend more time there, eventually becoming your customers.
Did You Notice The Trend?
Mobility has changed this economy in profound ways. The implications of carrying around a mobile device and the encyclopedia in our pockets has already changed what we buy, and how we live. It is impacting entire economies, particularly in many remote areas of the world where population growth is soaring and people are accessing information, and improving their lives.
My response to Myspace Spending $20 Million
Myspace is back — and it's spending a lot of money to make sure everyone knows it.
But to me Myspace ad campaign is another example of the mindset of a traditional marketer. Which is that human beings are consumers and that they are captive. That their job is to consume what you make and that you can go get them whenever you want.
Today as a marketer you must work to earn the attention of the consumer and the traditional marketing people aren't use to that. They are use to paying 20 million dollars for attention, not earning it. Myspace would have been better if they launched with engagement and then work on scale. Just my two cents.
