A lot of people didn't like the final scene of him helping people on top of the stadium. Or that girl onto the gurney who holds onto him too scared to be without him. We never see Batman still at the scene helping people he always disappears. It was an extremely important scene that humanizes him.

"If you can't imagine your Batman comforting a small child then you didn't write Batman. You wrote the punisher."

His humanity and deep love and need to protect is what makes Batman who he is. Not how manly he is. Or his brooding. His greatest strength is when he realizes he needs people. The way he cuts people off causes most of his struggles in comics. Bruce would never want his toxic traits and things he's struggled with to be seen as any kind of goal to reach for men.

Batman finally being shown as a deeply flawed human being getting so hated by casual fans is very telling and sad
