You know I think if Sabé were with Padmé in AotC instead of Anakin, she could've fallen for her too. Sabé's canonically pan, Padmé is bi af, and I'm 100% of the opinion that Padmé and Sabé had romantic feelings for each other for a long time, and didn't act on them because their duty and their friendship came first. But things would've been a little different when Padmé is a senator instead of a queen, and Sabé is serving her in a less official capacity, and they're older and more mature. It probably would've taken a little more than that - Anakin was actively pursuing Padmé and still she was hesitant until it became clear they might die, and she realized that in light of life's fragility she wanted to take a chance on the relationship. The same could happen with Sabé. It only requires the right circumstances.

So what I'm saying is, AU where Sabé is Padmé's bodyguard on Naboo and they fall in love while protecting each other. Bi and pan rights.
