He might not be as carefree and light as he was once, but he’s still got that bit in spades. She’s just angry, and he’s sort of poking the bear. “He mentioned it to you once. He’s mentioned it to others more than that.” Sirius adds, a shrug of his shoulders as he leans back in his seat. Her anger is justified - he never said it wasn’t. It just seems pointless to get in such a rage when there’s a simple enough solution. “And he might have mentioned his retirement coming sooner rather than later.” She’s certainly the best option. Who else is there, really? He already knows his Godson most certainly doesn’t want it (even if he does have the support); she’s a natural leader. “You’ve already got the support in place. Why wouldn’t you want it?”
