gold rush - ginny weasley
ok so i'm currently rereading harry potter and so it's my mind all the time and i love taylor swift. so i was listening to gold rush and reminded of ginny and her relationship with harry, specifically in half- blood prince.
now i present my evidence!
"what must it be like to grow up so beautiful" ginny's obvious crush on harry during books 1-3.
"with your hair falling into place like dominoes" maybe not the best connection BUT his hair is notably unable to be controlled and stick up in the back.
"at dinner parties i call you out on your contrarian shit" so we have slughorn's parties that they both attended. did she call him out at the parties? no. but she did say his logic was flawed when disscussing how safe the half-blood prince's book was and to trust what easily could be dark magic, using tom riddle's diary as proof of when trusting books can lead you down a dangerous path.
"everybody wants you" romilda vane and others when harry is found out to be the chosen one, her sending him chocolates laced with love potion.
"i can't dare to dream about you anymore" her being in a relationship with dean yet still having feelings for harry
"cause it fades into the gray of my day-old tea, cause it will never be" when harry breaks up with ginny to keep her safe from voldemort :(
"i see my padding across your wooden floors, with my eagles t-shirt hanging from the door" reminds me of that scene in book 7 when they kiss in ginny's bedroom at the burrow before the wedding.
anyways there was some reaching but overall this song just feels so them from her perspective. love her and love these books and love me some taylor
