Gangnam Style (8)
Cultural integration with music.
Living amongst the 21st century and being able to be exposed to different culture, music, languages and ethnicities - has allowed for the expansion of our music tastes. Now, you can see people from different backgrounds listening to songs and music from different cultures but adoring the music.
A great example is the KPOP industry and 21st century viral hits such as Gangnam Style.
Music has extended beyond past languages.
Artists from all over the world are looking for different mediums of expression to draw inspiration. We are exposed to a wide variety of selection in the music market and we ourselves can be influenced with even the smallest or basic thing.
A girl after her time
I know there is some amazing music out these days, from people with real talent. But I find the need to have 'colourful' language in songs disappointing.
The people I work with are shocked at my lack of knowledge on current music. My friends try to 'educate' me by providing cds of music from the last few years.
However I much prefer to listen to the music that my parents grew up with, NOT saying i don't like any current music, just that if i had to chose the music from the 60s, 70s and 80s would win over the music from today.
All the women who Independent !
Throw your hands up at me..
You know who im talking about - Destiny's Child.
These girls have been rocking the charts since 1998 and delivering smash hits from Say my name, Jumpin Jumpin, Independent Women, Bootylicious, Soldier, Survivor, Lose my breath - the list goes on. I went to both of their concerts when they came to Sydney and they were fantastic. Their Singing and dance moves were amazing and had everyone moving along. not to mention their hot male back up dancers ;)
I was so excited to hear the Bootylisious babes are back and have released a new song. This is there first song in 8 years! But as a fan i must admit i am disappointed.
This song has a mellow tone and lacks the enthusiasm and motivational girl spirit than their previous tracks. It has a sleepy vibe, showing a more mature side of the group.
Maybe i expected too much, thinking it would be a fun new girly song to dance to.
That being said, I think its a grower and the more i hear it the more i will like it.
Still love the girls and looking forward to hearing more of their new hits.
What are your thoughts?

Pitbull more like s***bull
As I love ranting on about musicians I personally dislike, Pitbull is probably on the top of the list. So much personal dislike, I don't consider his work music at all, Mr.Worldwide? How about no!
I'm sure there are a few of you out there who agree with me probably for the same following reasons;
1. Mr. Worldwide, Mr.305, lil'Chico?? your name is pitbull so stfu!
2. Repeating the same lyric EVERYTIMEE!!! I know it sounds like they rhyme mate but its because they are the same sentence.. *DUHH DUHH*
3. Pitbull really just looks like a seedy 40 year old man... agree?

Extremely proud of them!
Justin Timberlake.. what the hell WAS that?!
Saywhaaaaaat.
For most of you 90's boys and girls, we have all grown up in that era of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake. These icons were our pop idols, our Selena Gomez's, our Justin Biebers.
So you can imagine how excited we were with the announcement of Justin Timberlake's return to the music world in 2013 - and even better - a pop single as well in the works. How exciting, right?
WRONG.
I can't even begin how disastrous that was when I listened to the release and felt a sad sense of defeat at the ridiculous song.
For Justin Timberlake, it was basic as hell. Sorry.
What's your verdict, hit or miss?

One Thing (Rendition of One Direction: 2.0)
I gained recognition with this cover of One Direction’s on Tumblr, and whilst I do not even have around 500 followers and don’t have a massive viral following - I am honest to God fine with that. I have since then been shamed that such a poor quality audio/version of One Thing has been shared around, but people are listening and it makes me so happy and proud of whatever I do.
This is my One Direction cover of “One Thing” take two, or 2.0. Whatever you want to call it.
I hope you enjoy it. I’ve made it downloadable so please download and share if you want to.
Follow my Soundcloud and me on Facebook to stay in with updates.
For ya’ll in the States, I hope this is a nice bed time lullaby! :)
Are you?
They will blow up, believe me
