Had an early morning, so I decided to take an afternoon nap before my rowing session. Woke up feeling my thighs warm. I don’t how long Cat had been lying on me, thanks to him for getting my warmup started. Also, he got off and reminded me to stretch after I warmup. Seems like I now have a trainer. Waking up from a rare afternoon nap to find Cat quietly looking down me. He left, right after I took the picture. I don’t know how long he had been there for. Though, now I have mix feelings about this. Is Cat my guardian cat, or, is he my stalker. Another picture of Cat! 🤷‍♂️ Looks liked he has turned in for the night. Don’t worry, he is comfortable there, by his favorite heating duct, with paws pointed into it and the floor beneath him is heated by the conduit, on this cold winter night. Ever so often he moves a paw, an ear and sometimes even giving a stretch, while not waking. He seems to be dreaming. Hopefully, his dreams are happy ones. For me the joy in seeing him like this comes from knowing that I have made for him a good and welcoming home to live in. Wishing that we can all find joy in comforting others. Cat has found his winter place! He is warming his paws in front of HVAC vent that is built into cupboard’s toe kick-board. What makes this outlet his favorite one is that underneath the floor runs it’s conduit whose radiating heat warms the floor that he is laying on. Pussycat is no fool! I would imagine that if I had a fireplace he would be camped out in front of it and meowing at me to add another log to the fire. I found myself looking over litter box and something came over me. I began to swirl and stroke with my rake and I stopped to look things over and new that was I was done and felt that moment of satisfaction. Litter Box Art: one in on going series, micro landscaping, cat litter, 36cm x 50cm. 2021. —The litter box has become my indoor sandbox. Cat, like much of the public my not notice or care about the work, though that really is not all that important, because it does not negate the process and thinking that goes into producing the work. The truth is that creators do not get to interact with the majority of a works audience. Creation differs from manufacturing in that it is driven by need to do so and is rewarded by the satisfaction of process and by completion. Manufacturing is driven by demand and profit. Cat is eyeing my plate of cheese. I know this because he likes to eat cheese. Not only does he like to eat cheese, he also has a discerning nose and palate. For example, he knows the difference between cream cheese, a favorite of his, and chèvre, which he does not like and will not eat. On the plate are two of his favourites, a Gruyère and a an aged cheddar. Fortunately, for me he is a well mannered cat and knows not to eat from my plate.
