Fan Reactions & Taking Requests!

So in the immediate aftermath of HiroC’s announcement on DGS, there have been various reactions from fans (mostly based on observation from Japan’s Twitter):

1. The supportive ones - “I’ll continue to support!”, “Congratulations on your marriage!” “My love for you will never change!”

2. The ones with mixed feelings - “I want to continue to support him but I’m in shock right now” , “I don’t mind it but I wished I could have learned about it in a different way.”

3. The now turned anti-fans - “I’ll never forgive him!” “He hid it from us!” “He’s deceived my time and money!”

4. The outsiders/trolls - “So we’ve arrived in a generation where even seiyuus make top news?” “And that’s why seiyuus shouldn’t be treated as idols. Use your voice to do your work!”

There are also reports saying that HiroC’s goods are turning up in large volumes at second hand stores (OMG, now’s the chance! I wish I could get my hands on some of the older Limited Edition goods!).

Although everyone is entitled to react however they wish, I do cringe when I see some of these posts on Twitter. I don’t know if I am the only one who thinks this way, but since there was never any confirmation on anything at all, we don’t actually have any idea whether he did marry or not, and if he did, whether he’s still married or not, whether the child is his or not, etc. And yet in such vague circumstances, fans are going off and (over?)reacting on their own assumptions. It’s obvious that HiroC kept his message vague on purpose and he has no intention of sharing anything beyond what he has already shared and the reason for this is because it really does not matter what the state of his private life is as long as he keeps producing the kind of work he always has and which we have always enjoyed nonetheless.     

In light of all this, what I feel is really important right now for all of us (both Kamiya-san and us fans) is to move on. Watching HiroC perform (particularly on DGS) has been a great source of joy and comfort for me (I’m sure it’s the same for all fans) and it would really be nice to get along with that again.

So in an attempt to spread more HiroC and DGS love, I’d like to announce that I’ll be taking requests for translations! It can be anything, video clips, audio clips, magazine articles, etc as long as it’s related to HiroC or DGS! I haven’t translated anything properly in years but I’d like to get back in shape and now feels like a great time to start again! Just drop me a note or message and I’ll do my best! Also, since I’m a one-man-army, please do allow me the option to turn down the request if I feel that I’m not capable enough to manage it. m(_ _)m

i don't think fans are mad about kamiya hiroshi being married i think theyre more mad about how he approached this so casually simply joking around saying they shouldve picked a better photo~ and saying that theres a private hiroshi and the seiyuu hiroshi and he wanted to differentiate the two but what fans are really mad about is the extent to which he went to lie about being single i remember when the news hit most fans were happy but after he spoke about the issue in dgs, that's when thing

that’s when fans started to get really disappointed because god knows how many times he said hes lonely,and wanted a girl friend  and after he got married (he got married around 2011) he asked his senpai seiyuu on dgs whats the advantage of getting married (clearly putting on such an act bc he was married at that time) like it was all an act? if you listen to what he said on dgs about this,he simply views that fans as nothing more than an ATM and THAT’S why the fans are upset not bc hes married

Okay! I know what you’re saying but I did the About Kamiyan… post before the new episode of DGS came out and to be honest, when it was out, I don’t even know how to react because the way he talked about the rumor photo was so fast that I can’t even comprehend what he’s saying at all. But someone did translate it and you can see the full translation here.

So based on what I read from the new DGS episode is that we have no idea about Kamiyan being married and have a child or not, like he didn’t confirm anything at all. All he said is he’s separating his private life and work. Today, Kamiyan had a press conference about all the issue from the magazine and confirmed that he is indeed married and apologizes for his fans about it. (This people can’t seem to accept the fact that he’s also a normal person too). EDIT: Some people said the press conference didn’t happen and the picture below is fake since it’s from SnK promotion, but the post can still relate on what he said on DGS.

Now, here’s my opinion about all of this. We all know that Kamiyan is a seiyuu not an idol or an artist! So other than being a seiyuu, he’s just a normal person! All seiyuus doesn’t have this rule that they shouldn’t get date or married at all because they’re only contributing their voice to be this particular character to an anime series or games and appear in radio, seiyuu shows or seiyuu events to help promote the current anime series or games they’re in but other than that, they’re just normal people!!

So when I saw this news about Kamiyan publicly apologized that he might be married just made me so sad because in the first place, why does he need to apologize?! Is it because he’s married or already have a kid? Why do you even need to care about his private life? There’s a reason why it is called a private life! His marital status can’t change anything about him for being a seiyuu. Though I do think he’s apologizing because the fans discovered it from the paparazzi magazine than knowing it from him. But like what he said on DGS, he doesn’t have a blog or twitter to just announce that he’s married (not like how other seiyuus did) but he did say he’s separating his private life and work so he can protect the people that are important to him. Also we all know that Kamiyan isn’t the type of person to share this kind of thing since he want to keep it private and protect his love ones but seeing the news about him just makes me think how hard he’s been through this week because that’s what he’s trying to prevent in the first place. I mean he’s like one of the veteran seiyuus so he knew that some of his fans will react much about all of this. 

Their are a tons of seiyuus out there are already married but they didn’t have to apologize about it, I do remember about Miyano Mamoru (it’s more like a video message), but after they announced that they’re married, it’s back to how they always do to promote the anime series, games and such like Miyano Mamoru, Namikawa Daisuke, Yonaga Tsubasa, Satou Takuya, Sawashiro Miyuki, Suzumura Kenichi, Sakamoto Maaya, and more (theirs too many to mention). But seriously, this is the first time that I heard a seiyuu to apologize about his private life O.O 

Now let’s talk about the fans as they heard about this. I do agree with mabotofuu about how the fans react to this news, which most international fans, like us, are very supportive about Kamiyan since he deserves to be happy and like what I said in my past post that it would be weird that Kamiyan doesn’t have his own family because he’s already in his 40s… Just because he kept saying on radio shows that he doesn’t need a girl in his life, doesn’t mean it’s true, his just doing his job and if he did say it vice versa, obviously some fans will react about it (especially to some Chinese fans (I even saw one on weibo that she will hunt down his wife and kid to kill them O.O But it seems that user delete her account)). And some fans can’t still accept it because they still prefer that Kamiyan and OnoD will end up together (Of course, I’m talking about the fans that are delusional as they went too far to ship them just because their characters always paired together and work in blcds together). You can see why Kamiyan didn’t want to say anything about this, because he’s protecting his family and now he can’t because of that paparazzi magazine =.=  

Now I want to talk about the photo on how it all started the commotion.

I talk to a lot of people here on tumblr about it (no worries, I’m not going to mention names). Someone said to me that it’s not Kamiyan at all because he’s wearing winter clothes and it’s already summer in Japan right now. I actually facepalm when I saw that message OTL I’ve been in media before (more like extracurricular activities from college days) so to be honest, it doesn’t really matter on what he was wearing because for publishers, they will do anything for a scoop and to get high ratings for their magazine and Kamiyan is a veteran seiyuu so that’s why he’s in it. While others said that it was taken 2-4 years ago… Please, go and search what Kamiyan looks like around 2011, most of the male seiyuus that year were thin. And there are others saying that Kamiyan wears mask in his private life. Do you have proof that he does? Maybe he does but we never know. And we all know Japanese people tend to wear masks but not all of them, I even have a friend currently living in Japan to study and she got to meet Sugiyama Noriaki, Miura Hiroaki and other seiyuus at random places on Tokyo. Heck, I even got to meet Eguchi Takuya when I was roaming around Harajuku when I was in Japan (and that time he was wearing a mask but you can tell it’s him because of his height). So seiyuus can still walk freely because a lot of Japanese people doesn’t even know what seiyuus look like (except to the fans that knows them but of course, Japanese fans know it’s their privacy until the seiyuus are fine to interact with them).

I have a theory on how Kamiyan got into that paparazzi magazine, it’s all because of the success of Osomatsu-san anime, to the point that the seiyuus got featured in An-An magazine (and this magazine is like super popular in Japan for featuring so many great artists), that’s like the first time An-An featured seiyuus for their magazine at all.

So that’s why in the paparazzi page they said this ‘a popular voice actor in Osomatsu-san and Shingeki no Kyojin is married and has a kid…’.

I bet Kamiyan is having a hard time with all this issue going on now, but let’s hope Kamiyan and his family (if he does have already) can survive this and will go back to normal soon. All we can do is support him like we always do!!

In line with my recent aim of spreading the HiroC love, here’s a quick translation of a short clip from DGS #438. This was meant to be sort of a warm-up exercise for me and so I picked this clip completely at random (I literally went to YouTube and picked the first short clip on DGS I could find), hence, please do forgive the randomness of the topic (you’ll get what I mean if you read it ^^;;). Things are still a little rough around the edges and I haven’t firmed up a proper style for doing these translations yet (I’m also undecided as to whether I should focus on translating only the interesting parts, which means quicker releases, or whether to translate full clips for completeness sake). If anyone has any feedback/ comments on how I can improve or how I should go about from here, please don’t be shy and feel free to say something (I love discussions/ interactions with fellow fans).

That's so hard that you must handle everything But still have wonderful works and sunshine smile for us. I think that he don't want to keep his family in secret forever But his reputation, his famous that make hard to reveal because of There're someones to not understand, dissatisfied when know these and possible lead to bulling his family too. Part 2 : But if consider in your brain and heart, There're two that must feel hard and handle everything beside him, are there? Yes, His wife and family that can't say to everyone like I write in Part 1 too. When you have someone that you love happy & love and That's right. [ I mean : That's legal = don't break any laws & ethics] You maybe want to tell everyone? But if you can't to do and have to hide, How will you feel? When I see this news I feel so good and just comment reply in my language "ความรักที่มีความจริงใจ ชื่นชม และเป็นมิตร นั้นสวยงามเสมอ" If translate to English may be "Loving with sincere, admire and friendly always beautiful" P.S. so funny that Kamiyan asked for better photo 55555. If he want better photo, he should show up and formal announce your family, Maybe many fans want to see his daughter's cuteness and will be cheer her to steal some spotlight form her parents like Nyanko-sensei did to Kamiyan in Say you young!.

All I Want Is His HAPPINESS !!!

Some of you may have already heard about the latest ep of DGS (484). You can find on YOUTUBE and translation post by oshimasan

Kamiya kinda responded for the news at the beginning. Though it’s still a mystery, the photo should be him. But, we don’t know rather married, divorced or nephew. There is a phrase in Chinese: 家家有本難念的經 which means “Every family has their own problem beyond words.” I don’t care if he is married or not, and it’s none of my business. I was not touched by his marital status. All those anti-fans are denying his results.

Yet, I’m upset because I care about him. He tried hard to sound calm in ep 484, but he took deep breaths between each line. Those are his privacy that should not have been raised. He didn’t want to talk about it before, and still does. Now, he just forced by media, pressures from fans, public. How would he feel now? (´;ㅿ;｀) Probably in the sense of grievance and compunction. He is the victim, and fans are just outsiders. Do not misunderstand your role. We should be the one to support him, but not scolding.

My Opinion toward Kamiya Marriage Issue

There is a rumour about Kamiya already married and has a 4 year-old daughter.

Yet, when I read the news, it just so weird.

Here’s my opinions:

Black & white, why using B&W photo? Using color photo should be more persuasive. The reason why using B&W is because it’s easier to hide photoshopped things… so simple. I made one to OnoD too www soo easy to made within 5 mins.

Why now? the photo is totally out of season… It’s summer now and about 29-30°C in Tokyo, Japan

It is really Kamiya? Kamiya has one younger brother who is married and has a child. Also, Kamiya had said he look-a-like his mother very much, his manager recognizes his mother as the first sight. Or base on my 1st point, it would be a photoshopped photo of other stranger.

Is the source trustable? this news comes from a third-rate magazine which contains inappropriate(18+) images.

If the news were real, do you think Kamiya is a irresponsible husband/ father/ seiyuu!? He(39) keeps saying he wanna marry cute actresses when he becomes 40 year-old… How would his wife feel? How would his children think if his/her Dad?

Well, the response from Aoni Production is nearly unacceptable, said it’s a private issue and let Kamiya to speak-up. 

So, the reality may need to wait for Kamiya himself.

Lastly, I love Kamiya and will support him forever. (*´∀`)~♥ Im touched by his personality, attitudes toward his job, his brilliant works, but not for his privacy.  Yep, we are curious, but people should have their own private. 

I would be glad if he is married secretly or with someone else which means he’s not alone and there is a family there for him. He deserves to earn happiness. If not, just normal as usual.

Yet, there may be some influent toward DGS. I really hope DGS would be fine and can continue forever.

They all given a stick related to their character. Miyu used it to cover OnoD’s Chikubi. Then, Hiroshi and Jun rushed there and did the same thing.

Jun did Kancho to OnoD for twice www Hiroshi was laughing to death

Noon event- Kamiyu became a team and ordered to play a little drama.

↑  Hiroshi did toot mouth and escaped from stage. Everyone ran to catch him back. and he escaped again www

↑  Miyu raising the level of hardness, “Our brother is amazing, he will become an amazing person and bring perfect drama once on stage.”

↑  Hiroshi rushed on stage and played Miyu back through the drama www

↑  They were ordered to save the Earth. When Miyu were going to end, Hiroshi, “ Not enough, we need to borrow all the 6500 people’s power here” “Eh!?How?” “That’s your task to think of.”

↑  They did 童貞シコシコパワーpose and saved the Earth www (OnoD kept staring at Hiroshi till he set down and said amazing to Miyu)

Night event- Yuukyan and Hiroshi worked as team. Yuukyan had said he didn’t wanna team with Kamiya as he would leave all the task to his partner. Unlucky, Hiroshi just drew him out. “Im sorry, Nakamura kun”www

↑  Hiroshi did “んんん…(ninjaChoro)” to against being Choroko. 

↑  Kamiya won from rock-paper-scissors but he got confused and chose Choroko himself www

↑  Yuukyan stuck two plastic bowl as oppai onto Hiroshi, while Hiroshi went confused putting on the tool box to cover his head

↑ Yuukyan proposed to Hiroshi with white radish, then they hugged together

10th Seiyuu Awards - Kamiya Hiroshi’s speech

Kamiyan won the kamiyan award Most Voted Award for 5th consecutive years \o/ I truly adore his speech and his laugh when he was named into the “Hall of Fame” x)

HiroC’s speech;

“I tend to be a pessimist, so I’d look back on my career and shrug that I had nothing to be proud of. I havent lved my life beyond reproach as you well know I havent lived a life that garnered a lot of praise. I think I had more scolding and criticisms

But some staff at my agency told me… “I’m proud to know you.” “You’re someone I can brag about” When I heard this, I realized, that being able to work with people like them was something to be proud of in itself. And I’m so grateful to all of you who’ve loved the works that I’ve done with these people.

This award, and being named to the Hall of Fame gives me confidence that I lack and it’s one of the few things that I’m truly proud of. I will continue to do my best to portray genuine Japanese anime characters. And I ask for your continued support. Thank you so much.”

This makes me respect him even more T__T
