Keep pursuing God, and His presence will trail behind you like a shooting star.
Every sin you ever commit will be forgiven because I love loving you. I never change.
•Micah 7:18-19
Pray for the people who hurt you. Especially the ones you hate.
Be careful not to measure your holiness by other people’s sins.
Martin Luther (via alistairradley)
The afterglow has always been my favorite aspect of worship.
More so than the "doing" and the heat of worship itself, it's the integration process and the calm after the storm, that truly reveals my inner rainbow.
I live for the afterglow.
God is not mad at you because of your mistakes.
It’s okay to be emotional.
When it comes to having spiritual experiences such as “sensing the Holy Spirit”, or “feeling the presence of God”, some would argue that those are just your emotions, and thus are invalid.
The truth is, regardless of whether something is an emotion or not, those feelings are still completely valid. Those senses are there for a reason. In the same way that your physical senses give you a warning to be careful around a hot stove, or your sense of smell can lead you to food, so also can your “God sense” lead you to God. Just because it makes you feel emotional doesn’t make it wrong. If anything, that emotion should be a sign that pulls you closer to what you’re feeling, and you’ll know that this emotion is safe to feel because doing so gives you an inner sense of peace.
Spending time in the emotional connection with God often brings relief, and a deeper sense of clarity and understanding. This is always worth investigating, and should not be dismissed as “just being emotional.”
God’s grace loves you perfectly when you’re weak. It’s not about using grace to “empower you”, or make you stronger. His grace loves you while you are weak.
plot twist: you are everyone's first choice.
Walking on water isn’t so much about learning to stand on the water itself. The focus is to be sensitive to following Holy Spirit, and He will guide your steps so you become weightless, and are able to go where ever He leads.
Go and love someone exactly as they are. And then watch how quickly they transform into the greatest, truest version of themselves. When one feels seen and appreciated in their own essence, one is instantly empowered.

After being filled with the Fire of God, it’s also important to flow with the Living Water in the River of God. Water brings balance to the fire. As powerful as the fire can be, it actually may become a detriment if I allow it to burn uncontrollably. It’s not so much about feeling “burned out” or overworked from too much ministry, but rather, the issue here is when a person becomes so in-tune with God that they actually start to lose touch with practical reality. Being filled with divine joy and supernatural gifts is meant to work in your favor. If I’m in the middle of an important meeting, and I reach a point where I’m laughing so uncontrollably that I lose the ability to speak coherently, that’s definitely crossing a line where I’ve gone too far. You can share the gift of supernatural joy, without freaking people out by laughing too much. The fire of God may cause you to laugh uncontrollably, but it’s the water that enables you to use it with discernment, so the gifts are now used to bless you, instead of creating more problems.
Imagine it like a volcano, surrounded by a lake of water. The fire from the volcano is powerful, but it’s also contained, so it’s able to do its thing without burning everything in sight.
Pray that God would create a safe container within you that allows Him to work powerfully in your life, while also being delicate in the areas that are not meant to be burned completely to ash. Use discernment to embody the fire and water of God.
Don’t use “it’s demonic” as a blanket term for everything that offends you.
God's love is more powerful than vengeance.
Being humble has more to do with honoring the greatness in others just as much as you honor your own greatness. You're not meant to turn down the greatness in anyone, including yourself.
Don't wait for your circumstances to change before you celebrate. Worship God in the middle of your mess.
If you only give when you have more than enough are you really giving or just getting rid of?
