The star of the show gave fans a thrilling preview of the electrifying musical earlier this week.
It's WA World Ocean Day on Monday 8 June, and given Western Australia's affinity for the sea, it's a pretty important one on the calendar. T
JACK ROBINSON & JULIA MUNIZ ROBINSON NAMED BRAND PARTNERS OF LINNEYS
A defining new chapter in modern Australian laidback luxury
Western Australian fine jeweller Linneys today announces Olympian and world champion surfer Jack Robinson and model and creative Julia Muniz Robinson as official Brand Partners - marking a significant evolution for the heritage jewellery house.
More than an ambassadorship, the partnership reflects a genuine alignment of values: craftsmanship, authenticity, coastline, creativity and family. Through this appointment, Linneys signals a confident repositioning - from traditional, occasion-led jewellery to a contemporary Australian luxury lifestyle brand. One where jewellery is not simply worn, but lived in. Travelled with, and layered into real life.
For more than five decades, Linneys has been synonymous with exceptional pearls, rare collectible diamonds and masterful craftsmanship. A second-generation family business now wholly owned and led by brothers Justin and Troy Linney, the brand continues to evolve while remaining deeply grounded in heritage, artistry and familial legacy.
This new partnership builds on that foundation while reimagining the brand within a contemporary context - where laidback luxury moves with you and becomes an extension of your personal identity, reflecting individual style. These pieces are not fast fashion, but enduring expressions of sustainable luxury, designed to be worn, enjoyed, and ultimately passed down as part of a family legacy.
Jack and Julia embody a distinctly modern Australian sensibility: grounded yet global, aspirational yet authentic. From Western Australia’s surf breaks to Tahiti and Hawaii, their world reflects a new definition of luxury - purposeful, personal and effortlessly wearable.
“Jack and Julia represent the spirit of modern Australia,” said Justin Linney, Creative Director of Linneys.
“They live globally yet remain deeply anchored to coastline, creativity and family - values that mirror our own. As a family-led business, that alignment felt entirely natural. Jack pushes the boundaries of his surfing, and we push the boundaries of art and design.”

INSIDE THE NEW LITTLE CREATURES FREMANTLE:
A FRESH TAKE ON A LOCAL ICON
After 25 years on the Fremantle waterfront, Little Creatures has grown up - and moved out…. But don't worry, they’ve only moved next door, and the home of WA craft beer is looking better than ever.
Little Creatures Fremantle soft opened from Thursday 12 March, with a Celebration Party for media and invited guests on Thursday 26 March, unveiling a totally transformed venue that keeps everything people love while introducing new spaces, fresh energy and a modern edge focused on comfort.
Located at 42 Mews Road on Fishing Boat Harbour, alongside the original Great Hall - preserved within the redesign and re-named The Brewhouse - the refreshed venue spans two levels with sweeping waterfront views. Guests can now arrive via the harbour - even by boat - strengthening the connection to the ocean beyond. It’s a fitting evolution for one of Fremantle’s original craft breweries and the first to unite brewing with hospitality.
With capacity for just over 1300 people, the site boasts brand new indoor and outdoor spaces made for long lunches, sunset sessions and late nights by the water.
Built for the Future, Still Very Freo
Sustainability was central to the rebuild. Little Creatures has incorporated recycled materials, locally sourced timber and considered design choices throughout.
Blending Fremantle’s coastal-industrial heritage with contemporary design, the renovation feels elevated yet familiar. Freo remains the spiritual home of Little Creatures - where the brewery was born, and its story began.
Behind the scenes, modern brewing technology and state of the art engineering ensures beer is delivered directly from the source via underwater piping systems - meaning Pale Ale and favourites are poured fresh, straight from the tank, like they always have been.
Head Brewer Russel Gosling says, “Running beer straight from the source means less interference and more flavour in the glass. It doesn’t get much better than that.”
Food: Fresh from the Flame
Food remains central, with a refreshed menu designed for sharing and grazing by the harbour. A redesigned kitchen and bar improve flow, while the menu continues to champion wood-fired pizzas, rotisserie cooking, open-flame grills and produce-led dishes designed to pair with the beers.
Executive Chef Andrew Mann explains, “It’s about simple, confident food - great seafood, bold flavours and dishes that work from lunch through late evening.”
The Loft food highlights include:
Exmouth Butterflied Prawns, Native Spiced Kangaroo, Rottnest Island Swordfish, Miso Eggplant and a 1.2kg WA Harvey Angus Beef Tomahawk.
The Cherub Hall favourites include:
Wood-fired pizzas, Homemade chorizo sausage rolls with Little Creatures ketchup, Humpty Doo Barramundi and Roast Chicken from the Spit & Sizzle Rotisserie.
Drinks: Straight from the Source
Alongside signature beers and small-batch releases, the venue introduces an expanded drink offering that shifts with the day, from bright afternoons to harbour-lit nights.
Operations Manager Mel Jacobs says the two-level design allows guests to create their own experience, “In the Cherub Hall, the beer is delivered straight from the source - fresh and ice cold.”
“Whereas upstairs at The Loft, guests can enjoy beer-inspired cocktails including the Bloody Cherub and Juicy MC Juice, alongside a selection of iconic, beloved beers including Swan Draught, Kirin Ichiban, Guinness, Hyoketsu Lemon and of course the full Little Creatures range.”
New Spaces to Explore
The design blends Fremantle’s coastal and industrial character with warm timber, recycled materials and open sightlines - social, relaxed and easy to settle into.
Construction was led by Dundee Rock, a 100% Aboriginal-owned building company known for delivering high-quality projects with meaningful social impact - reflecting Little Creatures’ commitment to sustainability and community.
Caroline (Carrie) Watson, National Operations Manager - Hospitality at Lion, who oversaw the venue’s design direction and interiors, said the goal was a space that feels generous and unmistakably Little Creatures.
“This new era of Little Creatures Fremantle is a real ‘choose your own adventure’ - its somewhere you can come for one beer and accidentally stay all afternoon. It’s modern, but still grounded in Fremantle, the forever spiritual home of Little Creatures.”
THE BREWHOUSE
Where the story began
Formerly The Great Hall, this iconic space remains the spiritual heart of Little Creatures. Now the Visitors Hub, it offers daily brewery tours (except Wednesdays), tastings, merchandise and an insider look at an operating brewery - celebrating WA’s beer history and the evolution of Fishing Boat Harbour.
THE CHERUB HALL
The new home of hospitality
With 180-degree harbour views, Cherub Hall is the main bar and dining space, featuring signature beer tanks delivering fresh pours straight from the source. Relaxed dining zones and the lounge-style Front Deck make it ideal for grazing, sunset drinks and celebrations.
THE DECK BAR
Coastal, casual and made for good times
Set along the boardwalk, The Deck Bar is made for long lunches and laid-back evenings. With live sport, shuffleboard and family-friendly spaces, it balances energy with comfort. Flexible areas cater for group bookings and casual functions.
THE LOFT BY CREATURES & CO.
Elevated dining with harbour views
Perched above the water, The Loft features an Asian-inspired share menu, plush booths and sunset-facing views. Guests can enjoy the soon to be launched signature Feed Me menu, handcrafted cocktails, WA wines and fresh Little Creatures beer alongside a rotating lineup of favourite beer friends.
Little Creatures Fremantle soft opens Thursday 12 March, with an official celebration on Thursday 26 March - marking the next chapter for one of WA’s most loved venues and a fresh reason to head to Fishing Boat Harbour.

Chef Scott Bridger set to open Pearla & Co. in North Fremantle
Perth, Western Australia: Celebrated Australian chef Scott Bridger will open the doors to his latest venture, Pearla & Co., on Wednesday 3rd December 2025, bringing his signature coastal flair and ingredient-driven cooking back to the heart of North Fremantle.
Anchored at Leighton Beach, Pearla & Co. is a modern coastal restaurant and bar built on connection to the coast, the produce and the people, and bound by a simple concept that every plate has a story.
Bookings will open from this Friday 14th November at 10am via pearlaandco.com.au
Philosophy: Every Plate Has a Story
Led by owner and executive chef Scott Bridger, Pearla & Co. reflects Scott’s deep passion for the Australian coast and the produce it offers, along with a vision to create something refined yet relaxed and approachable.
Pearla takes its name from two inspirations - Scott’s nan, Pearl, whose warmth and strength continues to shape how he cooks and leads his team, and the easy rhythm of Australian slang, where a ‘pearler’ means something truly outstanding.
In practice, Pearla represents the chefs and kitchen bringing food to life. The menu is seafood-led, inspired by the rhythm of the Australian coast: fish dry-aged on site, shellfish from local waters, oysters shucked fresh to order, and produce sourced from trusted WA growers - many of whom Scott knows personally through years of collaboration.
The “Co.” celebrates the community of fishermen, growers and makers whose ingredients fill the kitchen each day - a nod to the old coastal co-ops built on shared purpose and respect for the sea.
The Venue
Located opposite Leighton Beach, in the former Al Lupo site, Pearla & Co. has been transformed into a refined coastal dining space that’s both beautiful and grounded. Originally designed by Space Agency, the space provided strong architectural bones that the Pearla & Co. team, guided by a sustainable mindset, chose to preserve and elevate rather than replace.
Working with Base Construction, co-owner and creative director Amalie White collaborated with Blair Collie and his team to reimagine the interior through craftsmanship, texture, and restraint. The result is a space that feels effortless and true to its surroundings.
Highlights include:
A 10-metre Verde Indio marble bar anchoring the room
Recycled jarrah floors and cladding, brass detailing and exposed concrete
Two custom dry-ager fridges showcasing the day’s catch
A cold bar chef station where oysters and seafood are prepared to order
Soft ombré linen curtains and chain mesh drapes that echo the coastal light
A FoodCube garden at the entrance, where herbs and edible leaves are picked each morning for service - connecting the kitchen directly to the land it draws from
The restaurant unfolds across three spaces - the dining room, bar and open alfresco terrace - each designed to reflect the calm, textured atmosphere of Leighton Beach and the people who bring it to life.

In the 1985 film Back to the Future, the DeLorean takes to the skies. So too in the musical production.
We've had such a blast opening BACK TO THE FUTURE: The Musical this last few months. Sharing a selection of print media only (because its a little easier to share than radio and TV stories!) plus some fab reviews... if you're in Sydney this show is not to be missed!

We are so excited to be working on the Back to the Future: The Musical as the National Publicity Team.
Caitlin saw this production on the West End two years ago and was so blown away she was determined to work on it if it ever came to Oz so this is a dream come true!
This year also marks 40 years since the first movie came out so its a really exciting year to be working with this brand, including the original creators Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis!
The 1985 time travel movie attracts pedantry like few others, so the makers of a stage version coming to Australia had a novel idea.
Tickets are on sale now for the Australian premiere season in Sydney at the Sydney Lyric from September 2025.
Steve Hargrave is behind the scenes in London before the show hits Australia.
