At midnight is our new favorite show. It’s the reason were tired all the time, and its the reason we force ourselves to stay up until midnight on weekdays. Its part stand-up special, part game show,  part satirical news show and its awesome. 

Questions are asked about the current happenings on the internet, and a panel of comedians give their funniest, most sarcastic answers. Points are given out based on how much the audience laughs and cheers.

Ryan Reynolds writes tribute to young Deadpool fan who died of cancer

Taking a break from our regularly scheduled programming to post this. Reynolds’ post made us tear up. To quote Reynolds, “while repeatedly punching cancer in the balls, he made everyone laugh.” Connor was a wonderful young man, may he rest in peace. May cancer stop cheating.

We spoke to Archer creator Adam Reed about the worst people you’ll never meet: the characters. “I wouldn’t want them to be my real-life friends, but I enjoy spending time with them living in my computer.”

Archer Season 7: March 31st @ 10:00pm on FX!

Archer: Season 7

After failing a mission for the CIA, and losing their partnership, Archer and the ISIS gang are stuck with no jobs, no money. But when Mallory asks, “what are we going to do for Money?” Archer responds with, “well *puts on aviators* I actually have some thoughts on that.” And that’s where season six ended. That’s what we were left with, but on Thursday at 10pm on FX, we’ll pick up where we left on. 

Archer is a half-hour animated comedy, about a group of spies. Archer, the main characters, deals with danger, death, coming back from death, sex, drugs, the CIA, phrasing and inter-office romances. Oh and his mother, who is also his boss. The other characters include an openly gay cyborg, a not so smart receptionist, and a technology guru often refereed to as “Hitler Clone.” 

In the passed, the show has been both serious and emotional, as well a huge joke that was nothing but humor. Archer even became a parody of itself in season 5 (called Archer Vice), where the gang becomes drug dealers and in the end it turns out that they were actually dealing drugs for the CIA. The show is not even sure when it takes place, with outfits and computers that look like they belong in the 1960s, and yet technology that is very much 21st century. Nothing about the show is serious, and everything about the show is funny, and if history is any sign, Season Seven will be the funniest part yet.

The Office

The popular TV Mockumentary, The Office, originally premiered on March 24, 2005. To honor this anniversary, I deiced to crawl out from under the rock where I have been living, and finally watch The Office. 

As a fan of Mockumentary style shows and workplace comedies, I’m surprised I have never actually watched The Office before. It’s been recommended time and time again, and I just never managed to press the play button on Netflix. Now I have. And I like it. 

The writing is great, joke after joke, after terrible Hitler impersonation, all in an awful workplace environment. Michael Scott’s lack of leadership skills, lack of diversity, and insulting nature makes it all that much better. 

After watching the first episode, I can now say I have plans for the rest of the week. Binge watching. 

I am surprised that I have never actually watched this show. That I am way behind on the times, but better late than never in enjoying this great show. I can’t wait to finish the series and probably cry about it.
