As this year comes to a close, I want to thank everyone who helped support this project, all the people who spread the word, all of the people who checked out the final product, all of the artists that helped out, and even the artists that didn't make it in.
This was my first time moderating a fan-collab on this grand of a scale, and I'll certainly be the first to admit that I didn't run things as well as I should have. For instance I probably should have made email the primary communication as opposed to Discord because while it was a convenient way to bring people into the group server, there were some cases where despite being given contact info I didn't hear back from multiple artists who made submissions. There was also the fact I should have been more clear about the exact sizing of what the final strips should be, and other various issues.
I also want to apologize for this project getting finished so late in the year. It was intended to come out back in October, but various issues and overall lack of time lead to it being delayed till Christmas. In the end I think the project benefitted from the delay, not only that it gave the artists enough time without rushing, but the Peanuts franchise has been closely associated with Christmas for quite a long time so it was just as fitting a date as October 2nd.
Much like Charlie Brown this project may have stumbled, but in the end I feel like it was a real winner, thanks to the team of artists everywhere who came together to celebrate this beloved comic strip, not to mention the people who viewed and admired their work. There's honestly no better way to say how I feel after all this than "Thank you." I hope to see more great work from all of the artists who helped with this project, and other fellow Peanuts fans in the future.
Oh, and also Happy New Year everyone!
