Hi. This is Sinnoh, and this will be the only statement I make regarding this situation.
I broke things off with my ex-partner due to the fact I was viscerally uncomfortable dating a seventeen year old at the age of twenty.
A few weeks before I turned twenty, I spoke with them about breaking things off mutually, and they agreed.
So, on my birthday, when I turned 20, we discussed on a voice call how we will not get back together until much later. They said “until they turn 18,” but in reality, it will be much later after that. The moment they turn 18, I did not want to reunite romantically with them. I spoke with them and we agreed to wait months after. No number or time was really decided on (still hasn’t been.)
We both have known each other since we were minors, and we started dating when we were, too. They were 15, I was 17.
The reason I broke things off with them was because of the visually uncomfortable age gap. We are two years (and two months) apart. I do see why others see me as a bad person due to said age gap, and rest assured we both thought it through, hence why, again, we broke things off.
Additionally, the way the original accuser spoke to that person was absolutely deplorable. I am more than happy to no longer speak with them. Speaking to a 17 year-old like that and taking advantage of their mental state, stating “I can __help__ you,” “are you sure Sinnoh’s not forcing you to type this?” etc. just goes to show how desperate they were to put me under fire for something. Now, I am off at college and I have my own things to do. I am getting a Bachelor’s Degree, but I’m not getting a Bachelor’s in Dick Behavior like the accuser/s.

I have zero tolerance for it. I have not groomed anybody, and I would never dream of doing so, especially as someone who has experienced such horrors in the past.
