So I havenāt talked about this on main before, but the situation in South Gaza has gotten so horrifying that Iām p much throwing caution to the wind to desperately plead for eyes on this. Iām raising awareness about stories from activists in Gaza right now, including one of our own.
My lovely, wonderful friend Swin (aka tumblr user @combaticon) was deployed as a volunteer medic to a Gaza hospital on the 9th.
When the bloodshed started, she heard they needed extra hands in Gaza, she spoke Arabic and had the training, and she went.
Iāve been in contact with her throughout. Sheās so incredibly brave it takes my breath away. My heart bleeds for these children sheās taking care of and how resilient they are isā¦ astonishing.
Swin and these poor people have been under siege for so long, and theyāre in desperate need of critical supplies. They have to filter water through their clothes, and itās getting dangerously cold. Foods finally been getting through, but thereās not enough blankets and jackets to go around and thereās no fuel for the generators.
Their comrades in the West Bank have been completely pushed out by settler thugs. Itās incredibly unsafe to even be doing humanitarian work for Palestinians. Remember this the next time a Zionist tells you theyāre doing this to āfeel safeā. The IOF is arming lynch mobs.
On a personal note, this has been the most gut-wrenching week of my life. Every day when I wake up without a text from her I feel so much fear. I fight back the grief but I donāt know how to help or what to do. Itās terrifying.
Swin has asked for nothing, absolutely nothing other than something it can show the people around it to make them feel like theyāre not going to be abandoned. To make sure theyāre not forgotten in some pit praying Rafah opens before Israel decides to slaughter them all.

It's beautiful how the Glory showed both the evil of humanity (with the bullies) and also the beauty and kindness of humanity. For example, the girl who worked with Dong-eun who she helped who also came back to help her with her revenge. The nurse who from her high school who helped her hide Hye-ranās daughter from Yeon-Jin and into a study abroad program. And finally, her landlord, who didn't give Dong-eunās mother information about her whereabouts and years ago, stopped her from drowning herself.
The part 2 of the glory was so beautiful and such a satisfying ending however, I've seen a lot of discourse wondering why Dong-eun and Do-Yeong didn't get together but in my opinion I understand why and think its better they didn't.
For Dong-eun, her revenge was her whole life and she lived all her life building up to finally taking all her bullies down. For her to move on and finally live, she let go of everything that connected her to them. For Do-Yeong, his daughter needed a fresh new start away from the terrible mess attached to her mother's name. His connection to Yeon -Jin and even her connection to her would've held them back from moving forward. Also, I love Do-Yeong but he would have not been as down for her methods of revenge as much as Yeo-Jeong was.
My genre really must action/dark fantasy with a hint of polyamory because no other television got vibes like those do. Like a silly goofy girl with two, much dumber, boys on an adventure where they argue in circles for at least three episodes then eventually go on a road trip where they decide they're willing to die for each other by the end is always gonna hit different. And you know it's top tier when it's got subplots of the sickest people in the world doing the sickest fuckery possible.
Moon Dong-eun is truly nicer than she should've been cause if she really wanted to drive Yeon-Jin a little more insane she could've hinted how her husband plays Go with her. But letting Hye-Jeong do her dirty work was so sweet to see, she had them running around like headless chickens

Iāve been doing pretty good actually while I havenāt written anything because Iāve been pretty busy lately I have been catching up on shows and been keeping up with both my studies and my job. Iāve recently been watching criminal minds and I finally truly see the hype of the show.

Raf shivers, hands palming at his arms before raking up and then down, trying to rub some warmth into his body through the warm fleece of Joshās jumper. He glances around, eyes jumping from where the others are either huddled together āin Scotty and Boās caseā or spread out in the area, hunched over with their arms wrapped around themselves, still choosing to keep to themselves even though itās been a week without a single sign of rescue and theyāre all steadily losing hope itāll ever come.
Henry, Sethās brother, had made a comment earlier in the week about how sticking close together would help generate body heat and keep the frigid air at bay, but everyone had just avoided each other's eyes and refused to say another word about it. It seems theyād all rather freeze to death than do anything to ease their survival, and Raf isnāt about to argue against it.
He shudders again, the cool breeze sending spikes down his spine, fingernails biting in as he squeezes his arms around his knees and drops his head to lean his forehead against their caps. His teeth grit together almost painfully and he regrets, not for the first time, not bringing a jacket with him on the plane. Of course, at the time he hadnāt seen the point, but hindsight is always 20/20.
āHere,ā someone says, jolting Raf from his thoughts. His head spins as he tilts his head up to look, eyebrows furrowing when he finds Josh standing over him, a big orange jacket in hand and a small smile on his face. He looks shy and awkward, which isnāt too far from how Raf himself is feeling. āTake my jacket.ā
Josh holds the jacket out, his eyes growing wide and expectant as he waits. Raf stares at him a moment, wondering if he should decline, but then Josh shakes the jacket out and leans down, draping it over Rafās shoulders firmly.
Before Raf can even think to respond, say thank you, or you donāt need to worry about it, Josh walks away. Rafās words die on his tongue and he looks down, swallowing thickly and clutching the jacket tighter to his body. Itās warm, and smells faintly the same as the jumper Josh offered him their first night here, and itās almost comforting, unfamiliar as it is.
Shaking his head, Raf sinks into its warmth and closes his eyes. Heāll thank Josh tomorrow.
