My 16 year old nibling is transing their gender and trying to see where they fit (their pronouns are they/he/she at the moment) and they asked me to buy them men's clothes and a binder and I'm so excited for them.
Except I am very poor and can't afford to get them the nice stuff and I'm too far away to just take them thrift shopping and they have no adults who are supportive of their love of girls and queerness and I'm trying so hard not to let myself get sad at feeling like I'm failing them since their mom committed suicide and their dad is a homophobe and bigot. They're currently IDing as GNC but have privately disclosed that they're pretty sure they're trans they're just scared of losing what little family they have left.
I am terrified of losing them to suicide like we lost their mother and I desperately want them to be able to express themselves without feeling imprisoned by their gender so please consider sharing this so I can try to scrape together the bare minimum funds for them.
