Mukuro stiffened. One heel dragged, smearing an innocuous liquid. “I’d say yeah, but unlike you,” she said, and rolled her shoulders. “I can remove mine for a brief reprieve.”

In a city as desolate as the rest, with more beasts than men occupying the dilapidated structures, once again, Peko finds herself in the soldier’s crosshairs.

This is what I wrote for the @pekopekoyamazine. It's not a very pleasant story, more of an introspective character study, so please note the archive warnings and the additional warnings I have written. Thank you for reading.

This story also has spot art contributions from @kitty-box-101. Ari did a great job illustrating my story and adding details and metaphors into the artwork that enhanced it. My personal favorites are the second and fourth spot arts. These spot arts can be accessed in the full zine, so I recommend downloading that too if you haven't already.
