Sinner's Remembrance | RP with devilshealingtouch
"Delphi was run by a zombie," she confirmed. "But happily, his body was destroyed. I think it was incinerated. I don’t think a zombie could come back from that, Bliss or no. You know, that really should have tipped me off in the first place not to join, when they talked about his suspended animation." Seriously, who would want to be a zombie? No one in their right mind.
She listened quietly to Emilio’s description of his life in the slums, trying to keep from grimacing at the dirty river. She couldn’t help but make a bit of a face- that really must have not been good for their health. He had had such a rough life already and then Delphi had to abduct him. They really knew how to choose them.
"It’s very good to hear your life’s gotten better, and if you ever run into trouble come to me. I’ll do my best to help you." It was a very, very small way to atone for what she did, but it currently was the only thing she could do, really. It made her feel useless, but that was the simple truth, unfortunately.
"Guess so..." He sighed, realising that it hadn't really been much of a choice for her, certainly from what she had told him. Nobody else was willing to take her on, but now she'd made a decent life for herself after Delphi, just like he had. Oh, he could have gone into detail there, with many of the people living there dying of cholera or dysentry but just hearing about it was enough to put anyone of their lunch. Perhaps the only good thing about being held by Delphi was that he didn't have to worry about any other infections besides GUILT. "I'll try... I dunno if it's anything you could sort, but okay." He still didn't completely trust her yet, but the teen's kinder nature could see that she was indeed trying. But enough of the crap in the past. "So... I dunno what you've already been told but apparently I'm supposed to be working with you as part of my internship?"
