I want to send flowers to everyone in my life 💐
So I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer 2 months ago. This is the only place I’ve shared that, and it’s only because I don’t think anyone will actually see this. I really waiver between wanting to write about and share this experience, and wanting to avoid that completely for fear that it will become something that defines me. While reading the blogs and looking at the hashtags on Instagram does help to give me a better idea of what I’m in for, it also gives way to a lot of fear and negativity. Outside of survival, my main goal is to come out the other side of this able to lead the same life I was living before, because I love that life. My biggest takeaway so far has been that: I love my life and I want to get back to living it on my own terms. I’m never going to know why I got cancer, and truthfully I don’t really care. I don’t want to become one of those people that reads ingredients and asks annoying questions and stops doing things they enjoy out of fear. While I’m sure I will make positive changes after all this is over, I am going to continue to do alllllll the things that bring me joy because that has always been who I am. This is an obstacle to get through, and fuck if there haven’t been a few of those, especially in the last few years. I am so goddamn lucky...I have the best friends, and the most supportive parents and family. I don’t even deserve the amount of support I’ve received, but I will be grateful forever.
It's really fucking frustrating seeing the person you gave ten years of your life to do all the things you ever wanted him to do, for someone else. It took ruining both our lives to teach you a lesson that someone else will now reap the benefits of.

Having the kind of day that makes me wonder what drinking Drano is like.
I understand. You lose someone who’s your home. You know, your only home in the world. And when it happens you think “oh fuck”… I should have had a backup home. Another person, or place, or thing. Something… to make me feel safe. And I don’t have that. And now I’m lost.
