Spring and the warm weather meant everyone taking to the parks and soaking up the sun. I especially enjoyed this as spending 2+ months stuck inside was starting to wear on me. From this point forward you could often find me laying on the grass listening to music, doing homework, reading or just enjoying the sun. Prague during springtime is my absolute favorite.
Just a casual walk along the river. Regular day.

The end result: fried cheese, fried chicken, cucumber salad and mashed potatoes.
Not as Czech as we expected, but still yummy!
Cooking Class
As one of our program’s free activities, we got to learn how to make a typical Czech meal. It was held at this really cute cooking school right by our apartment and it actually turned out to be really easy and fun!
This semester has forced me to cook more than I have in a long time since I was living at home last semester. Hopefully I learn to love it because I can’t say I’m quite there yet...
When you have to translate a paragraph of Czech to figure out you just need to put the rice in the damn boiling water. 30 mins later...
Friends Coffee House
A nice little coffee shop that we’ve posted up at a time or two to do homework. I liked to pretend it was Central Perk since it’s called Friends. Close enough, right?
Radio Praha
For one of my classes, History of Broadcast Journalism, we took a field trip to Czech Republic’s major international radio station. We got a tour of the archives by a cute Czech man who looked like he was plucked right out of the 70s. My professor had to translate for him since he spoke no English and we got to listen to broadcasts from the 40s through the 60s which was so interesting considering it was during WWII, Soviet Occupation and then communism. Very unique experience I never would have gotten without having taken this (admittedly super boring) class!
