remy-reinhardt:
Remy chuckled in disbelief. “They literally walk on you? Damn,” It dawned on him how lucky he was for being a lifelong Redwood resident. He knew his father used to travel around, before he married Remy’s mother, so he had to wonder if the reason they had chosen to settle down in Redwood Hollow was because of how different it was from those other big cities. “Well, here there’s also a good deal of gossip… But it’s not really too mean-spirited; I mean, it’s kinda the way we got to get news around, before the Redwood Review gets it on print.”
He listened carefully to her explanation of the diet stuff. Just hearing her trying to excuse that producer guy was enough to get his blood boiling. “I mean, what you get into your body’s your business, and no one else’s. I get trying to look after someone and stuff, but… I don’t know, it sounds like bullshit to me.”
Remy chuckled again, looking down at the puppy one more time. He generally liked animals, but he had to admit that, if the puppy hadn’t been so small and cute, he would have probably avoided it altogether. Big dogs scared him, and as cute as kitties could be, a few feral cats from his neighborhood weren’t exactly friendly to him when it was his turn to leave food and water out for them. If he stayed alongside Penny, though, Remy knew that it was unlikely for him to get bites and claw marks on his legs again… Or, at least, he hoped so.

“I think the new year party might generate a lot of gossip.” She pointed out, it seemed that people were having a good time, it wasn’t how she wanted to spend her time, maybe once she got to know more people around town.
“Well, if you ever want to go to Hollywood, I will gladly recommend you a few places and draw you a map so you don’t get lost.” She offered, get him a few reservation to nice restaurant, and some places se heard tourist liked to see.
“It is a little bullshit, but magazines can be very mean.” She pointed out. “The last thing you want is to end up in the cover eating a cake and people calling you a pig.” It was evil but it was the life she grew up in, always second guessing herself, worried about what to wear, what to eat and who would see, it was a nightmare. “They don’t need a reason to be mean to you there.” Which was my she was really happy to leave that place behind and start over.
Penny walked toward the shelter, all the animals were comfortable in the room, but they weren’t loose, she separated them with small fences, one that she knew they wouldn’t hurt themselves trying to get out, they had plenty of food and water, blankets, toys and pillows, everything a animal could ever want, so when they walked back in, most just gave them a look and keep doing what they were doing before. Penny placed the puppy with the others and they soon started to pay with each other. “The kitchen is this way.” She said going to the back, opening the door, it had a small table with the delicious bread already waiting to be eaten, but the kitchen was completely filled with supplies, since Penny didn’t knew exactly what to get or what she liked it, she got basically everything. “Please make yourself at home, I’m still new at making sandwiches, so i went a little crazy with the shopping.” After all some people might find a few ingredients very weird, but how was she supposed to know that bread, cheese and nutella weren’t good together if she didn’t tried it first?
