She's from a small village up in the mountains, eventually she and her parents move to a more secluded area. She learned Muay Thai styled fighting from her father while with her mother she learned how to fix things around the house.

After the 23rd Budokai tournament her parents accepted Yamcha as their own. Eventually she would learn how to be a mechanical engineer through Bulma.

Her and Future Trunks end up growing close, so close that she travels to the future with him so together they could protect his universe.
