My reaction when I discovered there was a Paint Tool SAI VERSION 2!!!

Landed my first freelance art gig in 2023!

Here's what I bought with some of the money I earned! (also got Disgaea 1-6 on Steam, NIS was having a sale!)

YEAH I'd been dying to collect BNHA and Promare merch! And I've been wanting that FLCL soundtrack since high school! (I graduated in 2009, SO YEAH THAT WAS A LONG ASS TIME)

And yes, she is one of the few OCs of mine who actually likes her birth name and doesn't go by a nickname. One of my favorite sketches from 2021, just finally got around to inking and coloring it!

UPDATE: FINALLY FOUND A HIGHER RES VERSION OF THIS!

Alternate design for Gertie: this one in her old school uniform, before she ventures out into the wastelands and must adapt (and change clothes) accordingly.

Custom brush I sometimes use in SAI v2. It's nothing special, just a basic round brush with some opacity pen pressure.

I'm currently in the process of updating Mel's design, since she ended up looking TOO MUCH like Ryuko Matoi here. Don't get me wrong, Ryuko is one of my all-time favorite anime characters! <3 But it's NOT exactly what I had in mind for this character.
