King and Cat
Meruem didn’t care for what Pouf had in store for him, waving the Royal Guard off as he entered his palace. There was humidity in the air, it hadn’t been there before and it was rapidly accumulating around them. The wind speed had changed for the worse, though it wasn’t anything he wasn’t capable of enduring either. The sight had fascinated him, the clouds high above darkened and grey in anticipation of inclement weather. His gaze shifts to another impending storm, Pitou.
Features consort as a flash of lightning overtakes his vision, Meruem’s gaze snapping away from her and back towards the sky. There was a brief pause before the clap of thunder that followed was heard reverberating through the air. Meruem’s face is soon stained by a singular droplet of water, another following thereafter and then another. It was raining.
Turning to face them, Meruem felt a slight hint of confusion, not understanding why water suddenly fell from the sky, though powerless to know the instant truth. He had vague recollections of water, the memories left lasting impressions on him, perhaps they were imprinted from his Mother.
⠀〝 Pitou, 〞he summoned loudly, the rain having only just truly started as he beckoned for them.
⠀〝 What is this? 〞
