28 years

28 years ago this month, I was a lonely depressed 40 year old woman. Felt my best days were behind me and I was destined to be alone forever. Self pity and feeling unwanted was taking over me. Then an 18 year old kid, who was about to graduate with his whole life ahead of him, asked me out on a date and changed my life. On the second date, I saw that 18 year old kid as a man,.when he began to confess his true feelings for me. The night of the third date we were naked in my bed and I never felt more special or more loved. I knew this was the man I was meant to be with and he just so happened to be my son too. We had our share of struggles and bouts of fear and guilt. But no matter, what he stuck with me. And to this day, when I lay back and take him inside me, I feel just as special and loved as the first time he entered me. I would not trade any second of those 28 years and look forward to many more. I am a proud mother.
