the disconnect // counterparts
If we could only talk the way we write
here where the world is beautiful
and strange as we make it
the purple skies shimmering to gold
the long grasses pale and gentle on our skin
how even the dirt is kind and cradles our bare feet
the air a cool softness through the fall of your hair
if this is the place we meet
for it always has
this way
of drawing me into the pool of your mind
a dark warmth
a rippling blue
the steady weight of
water through my hands
in your face the moon reflected
like the heart of the sky beating
this boundless dream
how we would live
and want to live
beyond these moments
Dacia Maraini, tr. by Tim Vode, from “Dreams of Clytemnestra,” wr. c. 1994
The sound of something falling inside a cupboard when you close it is the sound of someone else’s problem
me: *deletes fucking everything off my phone*
phone: your storage is almost full
When you delete things off of a mobile device (like a phone or digital camera), the file goes to your phone’s recycle bin (just like on a desktop computer or laptop), typically an invisible folder named .trashes or .trash. There, it continues to take up the same amount of memory storage as it did before you ‘deleted’ it. To empty your mobile device’s recycling bin, plug your phone into your desktop or laptop via USB as a memory device, right click on your desktop/laptop’s recycling bin/trash, and tell it to empty your recycling bin/empty trash. Your computer will empty all .trash/.trashes folders, including the one on your phone, actually deleting the files permanently this time, freeing up your phone/camera’s memory space. Reblog to save a life.
(I know this works on MAC with my Andriod, it’s not too far a stretch to do the same on Windows and/or with other phones as well. In fact, it should be easier to do on Windows since Windows Explorer is more conducive to finding hidden folders.)
FINDING THIS RANDOM POST ON MY DASHBOARD GAVE ME THE BEST ANSWER TO SHIT I’VE BEEN GOOGLING ABOUT FOR MONTHS!!!
HOLY
i hate talking to men like….like i have to play BOTH parts in the script to keep the conversation interesting bc they’re just like “that’s fair” or “yeah totally” like anytime a guy tries to talk to me im like …pls have a thought ready to go. i cant keep this pace up for much longer
lmao THAT or the other extreme where they lack the basic self-control required to have a normal conversation and instead they command the entire conversation in that fucking ted talk voice ‘teaching’ you things you already know
