Ant expressed earlier that the richness in my prototypes and research gets lost in my digital works. Could their have been another way to present my work? One suggestion is to show how the sun moves in a day, casting different shadows of my ‘thing’ onto the ground. There’s much to explore in that itself but it’s crunch time & doing things digitally already takes long enough for me
Feedback:
- texture looks like wood than cardboard
- proportion is off
- careful of shadow
- extend the structure to really show your idea
Feedback:
My brief seems to be talking about three completely different concepts. 1) togetherness 2) my personal experience on somes island 3) interaction/performance of the space.
The third idea is coming through strongly in the structure.
I need to look back on all my notes, I think there’s a missing link that can connect everything together. Sometimes while I’m running with my gut, my brain seems to be catching up with what I’m trying to do or say.

I had visualized something so close to this. Although it doesn’t show alot in detail how it functions, I can now imagine how my ‘thing’ that will support the symposium could work.
- Antartic a remote continent...most of us have never visited. Remains a landscape that many people connect with at some level. Similar way I feel with Somes Island. How do we travel to these places in our minds & imaginations?
- photographic object to shopping experience, aesthetic moment that included visitors as performers and participants.

Went on a morning early walk to hopefully retrieve a kind of intimate experience with nature & landscape that I had at Somes Island. Figured I need to keep this spark alive because easily forget when alot is happening around me. I think that I have many ideas running through my head that I need some direction. In saying so, I watched the tree reflected on water, it made me think what if I angled a reflected material so that a natural element that we don’t usually look up or down to see is shown on it. This could bring a sense of awareness of what is in that viewers presence other than their phones, people, cars, structures. It’s like a reminder that without nature, we wouldn’t exist.
