An excerpt from the pressure roleplay, a dream sequence from Vincent. :)
Unbeknown to Vincent, the creature would softly run the flat, end of her tentacle through his hair. Softly, she'd play with the shiny length of it, muttering to herself if one of the hooks got caught in a tangle.
The rhythmic touches had him drifting off into a shallow sleep. Still quite tense, still sensitive to quiet sounds. The warmth and comforting scent of the coat, the assuring touches on his head. Tight streaks formed on his cheeks where the tears had dried, and his eyelashes were crusted with small clusters of salt. Quiet snoring filled the vent, perforated by soft whimpers and the contented humming of his imaginary friend.
As the sensation of her suckers faded from his consciousness, he melted into a familiar feeling. Without opening his eyes, he could feel the way he felt when he'd lay in his bed. His eyes remained lightly shut, beginning to be compelled to the idea that he was waiting for Aubrey to shake him awake. Trying to hide a smile under the covers as he listened carefully for the sound of her moving, he kept his eyes gently closed. Eventually, when she didn't come to get him, he rolled over and opened his eyes, met with a dull gray sunshine filtering through the window. He watched the dust spiral around the beams, not thinking much of it. He sat up, pulling most of his hair over one shoulder. The morning air chilled his bare skin, and again, he thought nothing of it. All of this, taken for granted.
Vincent pulled the blanket to his chest as he yawned. He pulled it back, swinging his legs off the bed. His foot met something soft, and that meant he had to do laundry today. He'd worn that shirt the night before, yet he pulled it over his head to protect him from the chill. Why dirty another one just yet?
Walking to the kitchen felt like dragging your feet through water. Wading, not really realizing how much you've been slowed down. This side of the house was facing the sunrise, and it's golden rays fell upon her mousy hair. Aubrey looked at him, but in the dim, backlit morning, he couldn't properly see her face.
"Good morning, baby! How did you sleep?"
"Mmm good." He rolled up his sleeve, showing off the red and white indents that the blanket left behind. "I am quite crisp. That's how you know I slept good." He mumbled sleepily, wading to her and wrapping his arms around her shoulders.
"You're gonna make me spill!"
Vincent took the mug, setting it to the side before nuzzling into the back of her neck.
"Do you want a sip?"
"No, gross. You know I hate coffee."
"It's Dr Pepper, I didn't feel like going through the effort to make coffee, y'know?"
He pulled aside her hair, kissing on her shoulder, and wrinkled his nose. "Can't say I do. You wouldn't catch me making it, because it's gross."
"Dr. pippy?"
Aubrey lifted the mug against his forehead, tapping it gently.
"That's gross too." He chuckled.
"Ughhhh... You know what's gross?"
Vincent tilted his head, pressing his nose against her neck. He let out a curious grumble.
"Me?" He said, at the same time that she said "You." They giggled for a little bit before Aubrey turned her head to the side and guided Vincent's chin far enough away that they could face each other.
"Can you make me coffee?"
"Your breath is rancid as is." He said that, but he really didn't mind. He pressed a kiss against her lips, shifting his weight off of her as he stood up straight. His hand remained on her shoulder until he was too far away to touch it. Before he went to the machine, he filled the kettle with water. Aubrey could be heard rising from her seat. The familiar creak of the chair as her weight was lifted. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see her dump what was left in the cup down the sink. After feeling around the box for the second to last pod, he felt her approach behind him. He smiled, thinking that she might hug him from behind and share this lovely moment with him. Instead, he felt a rough jab in the rear. Vincent jumped, slamming the lid down on the machine in shock.
"I'll make your teaaaa..."
He turned away from the counter, pulling the loose pajama fabric out of his ass. Not a word was spoken, but Aubrey giggled.
"I love youuuuu!"
"Mmmmm, love you too." He grumbled, twisting his body a little so his hips angled away. His eyes shifted to her occasionally as she sat innocently on the counter. "I thought you didn't feel like doing the work for coffee? Why do you care about making my tea, huh?” He knew the answer, but he wanted to hear it come out of her mouth.
“Cause I love you. It’s worth the effort if it’s for you.”
Vincent nodded. He pushed all of the buttons on the machine in just the way she liked. She wouldn’t be able to notice if he made it wrong, but he could. He could tell what strength, and how many ounces would compliment creamer in her mug. She’d drink it without batting an eye if he made it rich instead of medium, or used six ounces instead of eight. Before pressing the brew button, he glanced inside the mug. He moved around her to the sink, with a hand on her thigh.
“Residue.” He said as he ran it under water.
“Like I give a shit. Honestly, it makes me wonder what Dr. Pepper coffee would taste like. What do you think? Do you think it’d be good?”
“Fucking disgusting.” He teased. She pet his head gently as he made his way back to the machine, pushing the button. The machine sputtered to life, gurgling before releasing a stream of dark amber.
“Why are you so NEGATIVE? All of the TIME! Why’d I marry a goth guy, you’re allergic to fun. Goth chicks are fun! I should have married a goth chick.”
She giggled as he rolled his eyes. Vincent snaked an arm around her while the coffee was breweing, and even after the keurig beeped in finality, they remained in that soft embrace until the kettle screamed as well. He reached out to turn off the stove, but was interrupted by a smack on the wrist from Aubrey. He huffed, making his way to the drawer for a pouch of Earl Gray.
"AH!! AH AH AH!!!”
He turned again, rolling his eyes even more animatedly. As she sprinted to the drawer, he turned to the fridge to get her creamer.
“Do you wantttttt… Green tea or Earl Gray?”
“Earl Gray, angel.” Vincent’s hand squeezed gratefully on her shoulder as he reached over her into a cabinet for his mug. He kissed her on the side of the head before dashing to the kettle, pouring it in before she could do anything to stop him.
“ASSHOLE. You CUNT. BITCH!”
He couldn’t resist an ugly chortle, playing with the sleeves of his shirt while she stomped back. While she dunked the bag in, he poured her creamer.
“Do you think it would be gross if you put creamer in tea?”
“Not really. With this Vanilla creamer, it would be similar to a London Fog. All we’d need is lavender.”
“But it’s just hot leaf water. Wouldn’t it get all chunky?”
“Coffee is just hot bean water. I think it has something to do with oils or something, I couldn’t be sure. I don’t think I’d like it personally, I might try it if it were served by someone who knew what they were doing.”
“What is THAT supposed to mean?”
“Angel, no- that’s-” He laughed heartily, turning to face her. “That’s not what I mean, I mean someone experienced with London Fogs. You do a plenty good job, but I don’t think I’d even trust myself to make a good one.”
She looked at him funny, a playfully suspicious look. Once both drinks were done, she took her coffee and gently spanked him on her way past to the living room. He followed closely like an adoring puppy, clutching the warm mug in both hands against his chest.
“What do we want to do today?” He sipped on his tea, mumbling contentedly.
“Don’t know, baby.”
He watched her sip on the coffee he made her with adoring eyes. Vincent gingerly brushed the hair from her cheek and pressed his lips against it. “Then I’ll do the laundry, and we can sit around all day doing nothing at all.”
“HEY!”
All of the warmth, all of the tenderness. All of that drained away with the warm colors of the morning as he opened his eyes. Sitting up in the vent with Sebastian’s coat held against his chest, he began to cry again. He had to do laundry today. He had to do laundry today, and then he could sit around all day and do nothing at all.
Auuu Krita has a hard time rendering the video so there's a lot of artifacts. Kinda worried about it being nerfed to hell when I actually finish the song. <\3
Inu Oh animatic in progress, set to Dress by Buck Tick! Ohh there's so many lines that makes this work. I might even lay out my ideas in another post. :D
Dr. Laurena Caddick and Marlon Sato. Marlon has no plot relevance honestly. He's just an expendable for the sake of being an expendable. Laurena absolutely has some lore that I will absolutely be sharing.
