RIP Tumblr
As I’m sure you’re all aware by now, Tumblr has decided to remove all NSFW content from their site (https://staff.tumblr.com/post/180758987165/a-better-more-positive-tumblr) after a series of graphic content featuring minors managed to be uploaded to Tumblr and circulated rapidly.
I, personally, did not see the content, but I know people who did. Whilst I commend Tumblr for taking actions to protect innocent people, I feel like the situation has been dealt with in a sudden and dramatic way. Millions of Tumblr users use Tumblr as a way of expressing their sexuality and the way they feel. Tumblr has always welcomed this. Millions of people will suffer because of the actions of a select few. Whilst I appreciate that Tumblr had to do something, since Apple removed their app from their app store, penalising millions is not the resolution anyone wanted.
More robust measures should’ve been put into place. Why was content containing minors allowed in the first place? Whilst Tumblr has been an open and welcoming site in the past, some things should never be permitted online. Tumblr has always had a poor ‘report’ feature. If you report something, chances are, nothing will come of it. Back when I was 17 years old, a video of me was posted to Tumblr without my permission, and gained 90,000 reblogs. UK laws state that you must be 18 to film and share sexual content. I contacted Tumblr about the video in question, making them aware that illegal content was present on their site. Their reply was something along the lines of ‘There isn’t any point in taking the video down now, as it has been shared so many times’. A ridiculous response to a deeply personal matter. To this day, the video is still on Tumblr.
I am truly upset that people like myself will no longer have a place on Tumblr. I have met some pretty awesome people on here, and it is also a site where I share content of myself. Please sign the petition if you are upset at Tumblr’s decision (https://www.change.org/p/tumblr-com-allow-nsfw-content-on-tumblr). I do not think Tumblr will retract their decision, but stranger things have happened.
I am now in a difficult position as to how I continue my uploads but on another site. I want to be able to use a website freely without judgement and without prejudice. As I’m sure most of you are unaware, I currently operate an Onlyfans account. I know people have strong opinions on Onlyfans, and I understand that it is not for everyone. But it seems that Onlyfans is now my only option for a primary way of sharing content of myself to my followers. I apologise that my Onlyfans is trapped behind a paywall, but I have always offered my Tumblr as a free alternative, which is now, obviously, out of my control. I will begin looking into other websites to use so that I can continue offering free access to my content, but for now, my content will solely be on Onlyfans.
I have exported all of myTumblr uploads, and these will be uploaded to Onlyfans. I apologise to the people that do not want to/cannot spend money to gain access, I fully understand and respect that, and I hope that I can offer you free access somehow in the future.

Tumblr has provided me with an amazing few years and it’s full of lovely people (and lovely sex!), and I will be sad when my page is shut down in a few weeks.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me on here. It started out as a hobby but somehow turned into a part time job and a source of income!! It’s been a journey, but all good things must end.
