This is such a petty gripe but the grammatically incorrect phrasing "how x looks like" has become so common and pervasive and I've never seen anyone mention it. Of course everyone shouts out their/there/they're and maybe an incorrect apostrophe but nobody seems to care about "how x looks like"

Often when I talk about my vision issues and other such things, I'll conclude by saying "ah well, it is what it is, you have to accept what you can't change" and this makes the other person go, wow it's so healthy and brave how you've accepted this difficult thing. And I don't want to say that I only said that because I felt awkward and wanted to end the conversation before I accidentally reveal how much it sucks and makes me really depressed sometimes and it's really hard to deal with
