When Adeline heard about the break up, she contemplated whether or not she should go to Perseus about it. Being in a good place could easily be ruined if she pushed too far. She eventually decided that bringing him some top shelf firewhiskey and a tub of his favourite flavour of ice cream could do no harm. She didn’t need to join him. She knocked on his door with both items in her hand and tried not to make a face when he answered. He did not look in good shape, “I come bearing gifts,” she said, holding up the alcohol and ice cream.

Percy thought he was rather decent at pretending that everything was amazing even if his life was crumbling down in front of his own eyes. Showing that he was hurt by something was showing weakness and that was obviously a big no no in the Mulciber household. So when he was left heartbroken he acted as if nothing had changed, but the minute he was back at his own empty flat he was a mess. Showering and tidying up was clearly optional and that was how his sister found him. “Adeline,” he muttered, unsure how he felt about her appearance. It was somewhat nice of her but also he was wary about showing her he was not doing well. “Come in,” he added after a moment of deliberation.

Have a fight with your girlfriend or some shit?” she replied. “I never said I was going to argue with you, when have I ever actually started a fight?” Lizzie argued but it was only when she was provoked, she very very rarely started a fight, but she always knew how to finish it.

Percy’s whole body stiffened at the mention of Penelope, but he did hope the annoying look he quickly put on a moment later was enough to move on from the topic. “When have you ever started a fight?” He repeated, almost snorting. “I still have your claw marks on my head.”

“You know that doesn’t work on me, I invented that,” Ciara said, waving her finger in a circle around his face but smiling all the same, “Do I need to teach you how to use your phone to order food again? You can get ice cream delivered now too you know,” she paused, “I might do that actually, I could do some ice cream. If you promise to get non-dessert food too, I’ll get it.”

Percy pouted, pretending to be hurt by her answer.  Truth to be told, he had been avoiding looking at his phone. It was full of memories and there were too many tempting applications. And he still hadn’t changed his lock screen. “What if I pay for it? Will you get everything then?” He suggested.

"Sooo what do I need to do so that you’ll bring me ice cream during your lunch break?” Percy batted his eyelashes as he plopped down next to Ciara. He was mostly surviving on them now, them and cookies. Surely they were a staple diet and they went well with all those cups of coffee he was drinking to stay awake after sleepless nights.

Lizzie was sitting in front of the creatures’ habitats, observing home it interacted with the other members of it’s species. She looked up when she saw movement next to her. “What? Do they not trust me to take down all the information?” she joked at her brother. “They do realize that I’ve been doing this longer than you have, right?”

Percy didn’t want to be at work, not when he had to pretend he was completely fine and not show how all he truly wanted to do was to curl up in some corner and continue crying. But he had to pay the bills somehow so there he was. “You can take it up with the higher ups, I’m not really interested in arguing with anyone today,” Percy sighed loudly as he sat down next to his sister.

Percy: You should stay at home, you never know who may show up now

Percy: I suppose you're right, someone could steal it... I should just send a few copies

Eloise was helping shop owners clean up the area since the attack despite the chaos that was endured there. She wasn’t entirely sure what else to do, feeling like she was working on auto-pilot, surprised about this just like everyone else. She felt… locked out, but at the same time she felt trapped. She didn’t know what to do at this point. Elle turned abruptly when she heard someone so close to her. “Oh Gosh, sorry, you scared me.”

Percy had been wandering around without any clear idea where he wanted to go. His thoughts were a mess and he was still trying to figure out what was happening, so he seemed to move on an autopilot. When he heard someone’s voice, he blinked, suddenly becoming aware he wandered into a store. “Oh, sorry, are you alright?” He asked, deciding that it was better to ask about the other rather than explain why he showed up there.

“You sound like a little kid right now, you know that Percy.” Fred laughed when he mentioned needing a sweet treat. “I’ve definitely seen ice cream around and about. Some really good flavours though so if you’re a good boy, maybe I’ll just buy you one.” He teased, slapping a hand around his shoulders with a grin.

"What can I say, my stomach has a lot to say today,” he shrugged in reply. Percy snorted at his friend’s reply, deciding to play along. “Yay! I’ll be a good boy, papa, I promise. Can I please have two scoops?”
