1、Unilever Partners with Google Cloud to Pioneer a New Era of Consumer Goods Technology
London & Sunnyvale, California, 17 February 2026 / PR Newswire/ -- Unilever and Google Cloud today announced a five-year strategic partnership to accelerate Unilever's business transformation by leveraging Google Cloud's advanced AI, data, platform and next-generation marketing capabilities. The collaboration will harness Google Cloud's technologies, including its enterprise AI platform Vertex AI, to build new capabilities in brand discovery, measurement and AI-enhanced marketing for Unilever's global brand portfolio – featuring iconic names such as Dove, Vaseline and Hellmann's – driving growth and engagement. As the consumer journey shifts toward more conversational and autonomous experiences, this will create a new model for how Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brands are discovered and shopped for. By migrating its integrated data and cloud platforms to Google Cloud, Unilever will build an enterprise-grade, AI-first digital backbone to generate demand faster, turn data into actionable insights, and respond to market changes with greater agility. This foundation will also support the development of agentic workflows – intelligent systems capable of executing complex tasks across Unilever's business processes.
2、Nine Beauty Ingredient Manufacturers Launch Circular Cosmetics Coalition
Nine personal care ingredient manufacturers have established the Circular Cosmetics Coalition (CCC) to promote upcycling, biotechnology and circular solutions. The CCC is founded by nine members: COLIPI, Gaia Tech, Innomost, Kaffe Bueno, Lignopure, NoPalm Ingredients, Origin by Ocean, Swedish Algae Factory and The Upcycled Beauty Company. The CCC will support brands, formulators and decision-makers looking to integrate circular ingredients into product development and communicate their value with confidence. Through their work, the CCC's founding members transform various waste streams and by-products into high-performance ingredients for beauty and personal care, challenging the traditional linear model and proving that circular solutions can deliver both formulation performance and ingredient innovation. Leveraging this collective expertise, the CCC provides a platform for knowledge sharing and education, helping to bring greater clarity, transparency and credibility to circular ingredient innovation and support its practical application across the industry. The CCC aims to respond to a growing demand for increased transparency as the industry addresses sustainability claims, regulatory expectations and increasingly complex innovation.

3、Clarins Unveils AI Shade Matcher with 96% Foundation Matching Accuracy
Clarins has launched its AI Shade Matcher, an in-store beauty technology innovation designed to deliver the most precise foundation shade matching to date using AI and spectral technology.
Developed in partnership with Silicon Valley startup IlluminateAI, this AI skin tone matcher uses smartphone-based spectral technology – the science of optics – to analyze skin tone, undertone and chroma in 60 seconds. Instead of relying on a single image, the system rapidly captures a series of images under varying lighting conditions, enabling a highly accurate reading of the skin's unique color characteristics.
By integrating advanced artificial intelligence and light-based diagnostic technology into the in-store experience, Clarins aims to boost precision, enhance makeup credibility, and accelerate the growth of its color cosmetics category, while strengthening customer engagement through personalized beauty services.

4、Mintel Releases 2026 Global Beauty & Personal Care Trend Forecast – Deep Integration of Beauty & Personal Care with the Health Industry
Mintel, the world-renowned market research and consulting firm, today released three key predictions shaping the global beauty and personal care industry in 2026 and beyond. By 2030, the definition of beauty will go beyond superficiality: consumers will expect serums and supplements to feature health diagnostic functions simultaneously. 5、Average Daily Sales Revenue of the Consumer Industry Up 13.7%
Beijing, 24 February (Reporter Wang Wenzheng) – Data from VAT invoices released by the State Taxation Administration shows that during the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, the average daily sales revenue of consumer-related industries nationwide increased by 13.7% compared with the same period last year. The consumer market boomed with numerous highlights, featuring distinct intelligent and green characteristics of consumer products, strong demand for tourism and cultural consumption, the rapid growth of tourism services in relevant provinces driven by the ice-snow economy, a pickup in catering consumption, and steady growth in commodity retail.
Policy support fuels the "upgrade wave", with consumer products highlighting intelligence and green features. Driven by policies such as "trade-in for new", consumers' enthusiasm for upgrading has been effectively stimulated, and they are more inclined to high-quality, high-tech intelligent products. Sales revenue of daily home appliances including robot vacuum cleaners and screen-casting TVs increased by 19% . The improving charging and swapping infrastructure provides green services for residents' travel, with sales revenue from motor vehicle charging surging by 163.9% during the Spring Festival holiday.
6、Estée Lauder to Incubate New Brands in 2026
2026 marks the second year of Estée Lauder's "Reimagining Beauty Mood" transformation plan, which includes cost-cutting and large-scale layoffs. Stefan de Loecker stated that after a challenging 2025, the company has recalibrated its direction to focus on accelerating business growth and rebuilding profitability, with initiatives potentially including incubating new brands and scaling them up.
"We are now in the strategic execution phase of the 'Reimagining Beauty Mood' plan. In the first year, we delivered on all our commitments. In the second year, the company's core is to accelerate growth, streamline operating models and rebuild profitability. At the same time, the group is reviewing its brand portfolio; M&A remains a strategic consideration, and M&A is not limited to acquiring new brands – incubating entirely new brands is also an important direction," said de Loecker.
Despite pressure on 2025 results, Estée Lauder's net sales in the second quarter of fiscal 2026 (ended 31 December 2025) showed a positive performance, rising 6% to $$4.229 billion (approximately RMB 29.06 billion), with sales in China increasing 13% to$$928 million (approximately RMB 6.38 billion).
de Loecker also revealed in an interview that Estée Lauder has had a "strong start" in the Chinese market this year, with the fragrance category performing particularly outstandingly; meanwhile, sales of its The Ordinary brand in the US market are also on an upward trend.
Notably, there have been widespread rumors in the industry recently that Estée Lauder will sell brands such as Dr.Jart+, Too Faced and Smashbox. In response to the question of whether the group will make more acquisitions than divestments in the future, de Loecker said "wait and see".

9、Another 3.5% Layoff Exposed! Kenvue: Aimed at Boosting Performance and Advancing Merger with Kimberly-Clark
Kenvue, the global FMCG giant owning well-known brands such as Dabao, Johnson's Baby and Tylenol, recently released its 2025 financial report and was exposed to a 3.5% global layoff to advance its acquisition by Kimberly-Clark. In response to the global layoff, Kenvue's global headquarters told reporters from Nandu Bay Fortune on 24 February that since the new management team took office, the company has been evaluating various opportunities to reduce operational complexity, enhance execution and accelerate profit growth. It stated that decisions affecting employees are never easy, and Kenvue will fully provide the resources and support that affected employees may need.
Notably, product safety controversies surrounding Kenvue have regained attention in the context of this acquisition. First, its Johnson's Baby Powder has been dogged by cancer allegations; despite repeated announcements by Johnson & Johnson that the product is not carcinogenic, it still faces consumer lawsuits. Second, for its pain reliever brand Tylenol, in September 2025, US President Donald Trump and the Secretary of Health strongly promoted an unsubstantiated and even debunked link between Tylenol, vaccines and autism. In response, Kenvue has repeatedly issued statements that independent and reliable scientific research has shown Tylenol is safe, that taking acetaminophen does not cause autism, and that acetaminophen is the safest pain reliever for pregnant women to take as needed throughout pregnancy, with a large number of randomized controlled clinical trials supporting the safety of acetaminophen for infants and young children when taken as directed.
10、From Spring Festival Gala Sensation to National Hit: Dreame Floor Cleaners Rank First in Multi-channel Sales During the Spring Festival
During the 2026 Spring Festival, Dreame floor cleaners not only achieved national-level exposure with "full-time, multi-scenario" appearances on the Spring Festival Gala stage, but also sparked a consumption boom online and offline, completing a commercial closed loop from traffic explosion to sales conversion. Monitoring data shows that during the Spring Festival period, the traffic and sales of Dreame floor cleaners rose simultaneously, forming an effective connection from exposure to transactions.
Online channels led the concentrated outbreak: on core e-commerce platforms such as JD.com, Tmall and Douyin, Dreame floor cleaners consistently ranked TOP 1 on the best-selling lists, search lists and flagship store lists of the floor cleaner category. Among them, the "Spring Festival Gala co-branded model" T60 Ultra was selected into the JD Gold List and firmly ranked first in single product sales on multiple platforms, becoming the core growth driver.

11、Billion-Dollar Giant Seizes the European Beauty Highland!
COSMAX, the South Korean ODM giant, announced the acquisition of a 51% stake in Keminova, a well-established Italian ODM enterprise, successfully establishing its first production base in Brescia, known as the "Beauty Valley" of Europe. 12、Behind the Official Announcement of Yu Shi: What Kind of "Spiritual Image" is Dr.Alva Looking for?
On 26 February 2026, when Dr.Alva, a science-based skincare brand specializing in micro-ecology under Freda Biotech Co., Ltd., officially announced Yu Shi as its global brand spokesperson, the attention of the beauty industry was once again drawn back to an essential question: today, why does a brand need a "face"?
As China's cosmetics market undergoes a profound transformation from "marketing-driven" to "technology-driven", the bubble of traffic is fading. Consumers are no longer easily swayed by exaggerated advertising slogans, but instead seek trustworthy credentials that stand up to scrutiny. Against this backdrop, Dr.Alva's choice is quite meaningful. Instead of chasing fleeting traffic, it extended an olive branch to actor Yu Shi – a young man who has carved a unique acting path with hard work and conviction in the entertainment industry.
This is a two-way choice based on shared beliefs, and a two-way journey rooted in professionalism and adherence to essence – from "focusing on roles" to "specializing in ingredients", scientific ingenuity and humanistic spirit collide and resonate here. With the same dedication across different fields, the two jointly convey the values of time, focus and inner strength, interpreting the preciousness of professionalism in the present era.
13、Horse Racing in the Year of the Horse: Beauty CNY Greets Its "Strongest Year in History"
As the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival spreads through the streets and alleys in the twelfth lunar month, an oriental aesthetic of time knocks on the door of thousands of households in the countdown to bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new. The Bingwu Year of the Horse, carrying the high-spirited spirit of "unfettered as a heavenly steed" and the vibrant vitality of "ten thousand horses galloping", strides forward from the depths of time with crisp hoofbeats.
For every Chinese person, the Spring Festival is more than just a solar term change; it is a ritual totem flowing in the blood – it is the warmth of family gatherings around the stove, the joyful reunion of old and new friends, and a solemn mark of life's new beginning, containing our most simple and fervent hopes for "all things new".
Sensitive beauty brands have long entered the game following this festive atmosphere, beating the drum of Spring Festival marketing at the turn of the year. When the zodiac protagonist "horse" leaps into view, it transcends a mere cultural symbol and becomes an excellent carrier for brands to compete for creative edge and communicate deeply with users' hearts. A creative horse race centered on the "horse" has quietly kicked off between consumers' eager expectations and brands' imaginative ideas.
FBeauty has invited a number of professionals in the fields of design and art to conduct in-depth dialogues, attempting to decode the profound shift taking place in beauty Spring Festival marketing: as symbolic cultural expressions fade, how can brand narratives break the mold and write a resonance with the times with a more human and emotionally resonant touch? Together, we explore how this new chapter of the year, mediated by the "horse", will reshape the spiritual connection between beauty brands and consumers.
