Pyx redesign.

I know this redesign might actually seem like a downgrade, but I kinda needed to do it. The story Pyx is from is meant to have a visual style that reflects 1980s-1990s 2D animation. The original design was cool, but wasn’t practical for animation of that era. But I did want to make the shimmering iridecent skin of Pyx and the other aquafoxes canon. So I made a separate version of the design that would fit with fully rendered art that was used for promotional art and VHS boxes during the time period I’m going for.

Who cares about what you do or don’t identify as? As long as you’re happy, youre not hurting anyone and you’re not hurting yourself (safe sane and consensual folks), does it matter?

There are bigger problems in the world than someone who uses a different variation of the same flag as you, or who uses a million labels.

You don’t have to understand everyone, hell I don’t, some of y’all have identities I could never understand, but you can bloody well respect everyone and treat every person with kindness.

The biggest thing about the Zelda movie I’m concerned for are the gerudo. Nintendo still doesn’t have the best track record with them, despite attempts in recent games to clarify that they’re usually part of the “good guys”, not inherently evil.

Japanese racism against middle eastern people seems to be more objectifying, while American racism against them is more demonizing. Both not great for obvious reasons. Ntm Avi Arad is notoriously racist.

I don’t have high hopes that their clothing will be redesigned more practically, but I do hope that Nintendo says no to attempts at typical American anti-arab propaganda. If they claim to be “politically neutral”, then they shouldn’t be allowing that. Nintendo’s current portrayal of the gerudo in the games still isn’t great, but at least it’s no longer demonizing. I hope they at least continue to clarify that only Ganondorf is evil, not his race. It wouldn’t be perfect, but it’s better than making them all violent and cruel like how many American movies portray middle eastern people.

I AM STILL WORKING ON VOYAGERS. I’m just being slow as hell at writing lately.

Currently got 3 different writing projects going on + dumbass executive dysfunction. Voyagers, a zelink oneshot, and a script for an original comic.

I think I’m mostly done with the current chapter, or at least half done.
