Coll is an adventurer in a fantasy world of Sword and Sorcery. This is the home for the Coll comics from Artoli Press. Coll is the creation of writer/artist Chris Artiga-Oliver and has appeared in his own comics as well as in the pages of DC Conspiracy's Magic Bullet newspaper. There will be a serialized Coll webcomic that will appear here and this page will be dedicated to all things Coll, everything from process to comics to merchandise. Enjoy. Fragments from an unfinished Coll story from 2019

Stumbled on some old movies that my son and I used to make back when he was in elementary school. This is the pinnacle of that time spent together. We shot Zapata Ate Here after I picked him up from Kindergarten. He asked if we could do another western and I couldn’t resist. Side note he is 25 now and a successful tattoo artist, his career really took off when his old kindergarten teacher gifted him with a tattoo machine that she had brought back from a trip to Madrid to visit her family. Her brother happened to be a tattoo artist and had an extra machine and power supply hanging around.

I frequently use photo reference to flesh out drawing ideas for Coll but I was playing around in the sketchbook and just drew over top of the reference photo. This is just very rough sketchbook noodling but don’t be surprised if something like this shows up in the next book.

Working on a redraw of an unpublished 4 pager. Fleshing the story out a bit and sizing up. It was originally drawn 11”x17” , redrawing it 18”x24”

Redrawing an unpublished Coll comic from 2015. The original was 11”x17” this is 18”x24” it’s nice to have the extra area to draw in. This was originally a 4 pager for an Anthology but I’ve decided that the story needs more room to breathe. It’s a good story for this time of year.
