She was strong… strong enough to turn this thorn in her side to ASH. “I also have my reasons to fight… ones that make the thought of dying here SECONDARY to seeing you fall once and for all. It’s about time you came to that conclusion; I’d hate to kill you and think for a second that you weren’t giving it everything you had…!” At the shot Cinder quickly jumped into the air, a palm raised and flurry of fire sent Ruby’s way as her free hand formed a long, daunting scimitar. Her gaze remained tightly set on the girl, watching for even the slightest of movements. Cinder’s confidence may have bordered on arrogance at times, but even she knew better than to let Ruby’s speed give her the upper hand.

Instead of trying to dodge the fire, Ruby brought her weapon to deflect the attacks, it bouncing off. Cinder was obviously prepared to matching Ruby’s speed, but the question was... Could she really do that? The problem was also, Ruby could go insanely fast, but at the cost of draining her aura faster.

All of this had to be taken into account... In mere seconds, for Cinder wouldn’t just wait for her to come to a decision.Thus she had decided to spring up in the air, petals scattering as she dashed to the right, firing off three shots.

Finally, she found her. The ever quick Ruby was hard to keep up with, making it a bit of a hassle. But at least she found her, a small nervous smile shown on her face. She was still unsure how she felt for the other exactly, it was something she wasn’t used to it and it was rather daunting for her.

But at least she could show how she did care for her. A small gift wrapped box was in her hands, something for Valentine’s Day. She took a few steps closer, “Hey Ruby! I.. erm, have something for you.”

Once she was closer, she held out the box. “Happy Valentine’s Day.” Inside the box was a necklace with a single rose charm on it.

Cheeks colored like her namesake, hands trembling as she accepting the gift from her. Opening it, a tiny gasp was let out, as fingers GINGERLY removed the jewelry from the box.

Scythe was now brought around to front, she loading an aura shot into the chamber. For a split second her features soften.

“I only wish there could have been another way...”

That said, a shot was fired off.
