OMG I MISS TRAVELING
I need some advice. A couple months ago I was having a rough time. My friend who considers herself to be a submissive felt the urge to step up to help me. Sheās been holding me accountable, making me do check ins, and doing everything a domme would do. Now sheās confused because sheās never been protective over someone like she is with me. I can tell itās bothering her that she doesnāt know what her āroleā is. How do you think i can help her figure It out?

Somethings are going very well right now. California is opening vaccines to everyone in April! Work is feeling really good. My hair is a light lavender and Iām digging it. Iāve been eating healthier and it feels nice. My cat is currently snuggled in my lap.
Somethings are hard. The monotony of pandemic parenting is wearing on me. Iām not getting the usual amounts of external reaffirmation that I did in the before times and its affecting my confidence, and thatās making my drive low. Someone I was dating has pulled away and it gave me feels.
Iād say overall Iām pandemic fine+ better than ok but not quite amazing.
What aspect of precovid life do you miss most? What aspect of the way the world has changed since do you value the most?
I miss casual intimacy. Not even sexual, just being able to hug people without fear. Sitting on a friends couch and sharing a drink. I miss the option to kiss a stranger at a bar after flirting.
I donāt miss the insane, overpacked schedule I used to keep. I never want to go back to running from one thing to the next; always showing up late and leaving early. I like parts of this new slow pace. I want to stay intentional about who I see, and remember that Iām allowed to say no to things.
I remember in a old story of yours that you were rigged. What was that like? Iāve never had it done to me.
Iāve been suspended a few times! I really like being suspended / rigged. Itās exciting and gives me an interesting physical high afterwards.
The tricky thing with rope is that it requires a ton of patience. Even as a rope bottom youāll need to wait and be still for hour(s) for super intricate ties. I think if I had a more regular partner who loved it (I never had) it wound be fun to do more regularly. But often my only rope access was at parties and it can be hard for me to sit still that long when there is chit chatting and flitting about to be had

Iām feeling real toppy today. Who wants to get under my boots?
Iām feeling really raw about the Atlanta hate crime. I tuned into a vigil hosted by Red Canary tonight and it was cathartic and powerful and difficult.
Iām so deeply angry at this country. Iām furious that itās so easy for these angry white men to get guns. That they take their hate and go after women, and people of color, and even children. And I donāt even have words for how the police and press talk about these murderers.
I have so much privilege as a white woman. So much working in my favor, and I will never truly know what itās like for the women and non binary people of color who live in fear, and have to watch things like this happen.
Even with that privilege Iāve known the fear of being a woman. Of walking alone at night. Of being in a situation with man thatās just enough of a friend to let your guard down, and to have that trust violated. I also know the fear of being a sex worker that shares a facility with other sex workers. If smoking cigarettes in a dingy lounge and hearing their stories of cop raids and unstable clients. Of being very close to losing their lives. Iāve know the gut wrenching pain of losing someone close to me when an angry man came to her place of work with a gun. I
To anyone whoās hurting, Iām sending my love. To anyone that doesnāt know what Iām referring to, I encourage you to do your homework. Itās up to all of us, especially the white and privileged, to really sit with this horror and figure out how we can do better, how we can show up for these communities, and how we can hopefully change what sometimes feel like an unchangeable system.
Which fictional character do you relate to most?
This is really hard. I think maybe Death in the Sandman series? I dunno. Do people that know me have any better ideas? Please advise
