Figured out what was wrong with my transmission, the pads on the shifter fork for 3rd and 4th gear sheared off and the fork came uncoupled from the synchro gear, making it impossible to shift into 3rd or 4th gear. The old one is on the left, and a replacement is on the right.
And here is the new one installed, circled along with all the other parts I got in today, the shifter fork rod, the shifter fork itself, and two concentric straight spring pins holding the fork onto the rod. All four of these circles took me over an hour to get in, each.
