"Art" or "Design" that is so ugly and / or soulless that it should be considered a sin. Like, art but not really. It's a design, but there is no soul behind it. It serves a purpose only. Examples would be background music for medical ads, stop signs, grey fluffy floor carpeting, etc... examples of this kind of vibe, a casual plain kind of ugliness that permeates daily life without any charm to it :
