When will quarantine awards happen if you guys are planning it

now that the school year is over for me, hopefully soon! i will ask, though, before i get too far underway--do any of you have any ideas for specific categories that are quarantine-related? anything you think someone should be recognized for in these trying times? nothing shouting out a specific PERSON, just a fun category you think should be added. these will basically just be simple quarantine blog awards, but we need some creative ideas and thought your input would be fun!

2019 Awards RESULTS!

It is finally time to find out who the winners are of the 2019 Phandom Awards! All awards results should be taken with a grain of salt; the phandom has a great appreciation for all its members, and if you were nominated and didn’t win, remember that someone really appreciates you! Awards are just for fun. That’s why your local admin is going to be trying to slip in some tasteful, kind words to our winners! I’m so sorry. 

Favorite Blogger of 2019: @danslawdegree! Huge congrats to Leo; he totally deserves it! 

Hiatus-Killer: @dnpnews! There’s no better way to take down the hiatus than with extreme dedication to follow when Dan and Phil do finally post something and also fill in the gaps. Big thanks to Corynn and Diana for all their hard work! 

Funniest Blogger: @danslawdegree! We try here to only let any single blog win one award so that everyone gets a chance to be recognized, but Leo absolutely DESTROYED the competition here. It’s a fair assessment of his blog, if you ask me. 

Sweetest Blogger: @dip-the-pip! Kris won this by just a hair, but it’s well deserved! She’s definitely one of the nicest people around the phandom! 

Best Writer: @watergator! Congrats to Emmy--she’s put so much hard work in this year and her fics have made so many people happy--she more than deserves a little bit of recognition! 

Best Artist: @cactilads! Congrats to Vivi! She’s made some incredible art this year, and as a creator, she’s amazing at spreading joy, so it’s time to spread some back to her! 

Best Gifmaker: @pinof! Congrats to Taylor, who’s always the first one to hop on a hilarious gifset whenever we get content (and even sometimes when we don’t). Gifs are generally a pain to make, but she still makes some really great ones. 

Best Editor: @pseudophan! Nora is honestly one of the best at a vast majority of things in this fandom, but the people have chosen best editor! Congrats, Nora!

Best Shitposter: @pseudophan! Again, we try to only let each blog win one award, but Nora is really a jack of all trades. Besides, no matter how many years pass, Nora will always be queen of shitposting in this fandom. We couldn’t really change it if we tried. 

Best URL: @dnpsuck! I mean...Lola...is right. It’s the single truest URL out there. 

Best Blog Environment: @cozydnp! Aly has been in and out of the phandom all year (which is really the biggest mood at this point) but when she’s been around, she’s made a huge impact on all of us. Aly, you deserve this! <3 

Best Phandom Event/Service: @phanfictioncatalogue! The PFC just barely won this, but it’s well deserved! We’d all be completely lost without them finding the fics we keep managing to lose. Thank you all for everything you do to help us out here!

why are all the people nominated the same group of 6-8 people? it feels a tad unfair.

it certainly does, but nominations were open for the entire month of december, and there were quite a few nominations and a tiebreaker with a lot more people involved. this is what the majority of people who were here at the time wanted, so this is what we have.

Nominations are now closed for the 2019 Phandom Awards! Thank you to everyone who nominated, but now it’s time to get down to business. Each voting category will have five blogs nominated in it, but not every category had five blogs that stood out above the others in nominations, so now it’s time for you all to break the tie! The blogs you’re voting between are below in the categories they’re nominated in. 

Disclaimer: Not every category’s tiebreaker is the same! There may be some categories where no one got more than one nomination, and we’ll be taking the top five out of this tiebreaker. There may be some categories where there are four blogs who got more nominations than the ones you see here, so you’ll only see one of these blogs in the final vote along with four others. Last Day to Nominate for the 2019 Phandom Awards!

That’s right! You only have a few more hours to nominate your favorite blogs for the 2019 Phandom Blog Awards!

What is this? This is a blog awards event for the entire year of 2019 so that we, as a fandom, can recognize some of our amazing creators for the last year! If you’re unfamiliar with blog awards, they are an event in which people nominate their favorite blogs for a few categories and then they vote to give out ‘awards’ to the blogs nominated for each category.

Cool! How long is it happening? Nominations are open until 10pm EST TONIGHT! Five blogs will be nominated for each category, and if there’s a tie in nominations, we’ll do a runoff vote on January 1. Then you can vote for the previously nominated blogs until the end of January, and winners will be announced on February 1!

How are you making sure the awards are fair? Blog awards are generally dominated by the same super popular blogs, so in these awards, each blog can only take first place in one category (generally the category they win by the largest margin in). It’s also important to remember that even ONE NOMINATION can sometimes get a blog into the awards, so everyone has a chance for recognition!
