The way Emily says "Jesse" with such fondness and sounds so worried about her in the Paranatural Manhattan trailer, I can only hope they're together now.
Heated rivalry shouldve been about 2 ugly old guys that play mahjong then maybe id consider watching it
i don't remember them playing mahjong but they do other old man things like going to the wet market together and drinking soup and taking walks. anyway go watch suk suk / twilight's kiss
"ok but where's the old chinese lesbians" go watch all shall be well. it's by the same director and the old chinese lesbians are also at the market
For TV shows, there's What Did You Eat Yesterday? which is about a middle aged gay couple
And when it comes to films, there's actually quite a lot about older queer people! In addition to what was listed above, off the top of my head there are films like Cloudburst, Supernova, Turtles, Salut Victor
Gonna ship Vex(and Percy) with this random Whitestone Guard.
Because we know next to nothing about magic or its history, I headcanon that people(proto-mages) would appeal to the spirits of magic, the elements and cosmos to conjure effects. The former's will directing the power of the latter. And at some point these proto-mages adapted to the relationship gaining some form of magical cognizance, extrasensory perception to better perceive these entities/forces, as well as the ability to draw upon their own energies to conjure magical effects. The former leading to the tapping into of otherworldly powers, aka sorcery, and the latter being the first witches, who over time became more powerful, to the extent that they can materialise their mystical energies, the same invisibly used in spellcraft, to project an eldritch blast.
This explains spellbooks and magic that does not rely on the power of the witch themself, their magic beams, as well as the distinction and divergence of sorcery and witchcraft.
Was really getting into Mushoku Tensei until Rudeus bought a slave. I know slavery, and MCs getting involved with it, is nothing new in isekais, but I've never felt so much disgust for all the characters involved like I did with Mushoku.
Rudeus, Fitz/Sylphiette, and Zanoba stand outside the slave market with quite serious faces, only for Syl to gawk at the deadeyed nude slaves genitals, and Rudeus to internally remark about sexual experience. They then proceed to go through a catelog of slaves, talking about preferences and desired characteristics, as if they were buying furniture and wanted it to fit the colour scheme they were going for in their home. They are talking about the type of person and race they want to buy, and children no less! And through the movement through the market towards the slave they want to buy Rudeus' inner monologue is silent. Then coming to their desired slave child, a Dwarf girl, Rudeus mulls over whether he should put her out of her misery, or not, questions her on whether she wants to live, compares his own feelings and past to hers. She is a child slave, not even seven, separated from her family, each of whom were sold, and thinks she should choose to live or die. He is a 40+ year old man, who even in his darkest hours had the luxuries of a home and modern day utilities for his first life, and immense magic skills, powerful comrades and an adult intellect for his second/current life. Then after buying the girl they feed her, and Slyphiette fawns over her like they just bought a puppy, and not one of the many tortured child slaves. But then they learn that the Dwarf child has no personalised name, which would otherwise be given to the child by her parents on her seventh birthday, so they decide to name her, but do they follow Dwarf naming traditions, anything like that, no, they name her for Zanoba's dead brother. And this jaunt into slavery is all so Zanoba can have someone to make him fucking figurines.
Gotta love how many gay ships and dynamics First Light has! Comrades-in-arms, spies who came up together, with Monroe. Carefree and seemingly unserious student with the overly serious, by the book, stoic mentor with Greenway. Enemies to lovers, heart of gold hero and deranged supervillain with Damien.
I started watching Campaign 3
No! James bond's boyfriend is dead and their girlfriend is paralysed! Bond's bisexual triad is over just as it was getting started!
I literally don't know what possessed me to make an 11 page comic over these sad old men! bon appetit <3
Why haven't Capcom and Techland done a joint Resident Evil and Dying Light DLC? Like, Dying light: Escape from Racoon City would be amazing! Imagine passing through some locations of RE 1, 2, and 3, possibly even at the same time as things are happening in those games, use those games' explosions and monsters as incidental hazards.
Why was sage allowed to run off into the sunset, rewarded, free of the burden of her intellect? She is a racist mass murderer, a criminal against humanity, basically Gorring, Himmler, and Goebbels all rolled into one. What the fuck!
How was Ryan de-powered, he was basically posthuman, he was a natural born supe, not a Compound V based one. And for that matter, how does the radiation affect supes, only destroying the V in their systems? Supes' entire physiologies are altered by the V from infancy, through puberty, to adulthood, it caused their powers but shouldn't be the core of them. Would Deeps' gills stop working if he were hit? And Butcher's powers were just cancerous tendrils, de-powered he should just be dead.
The finale wraps everything up too neatly, or rather, it sweeps a lot of things under the rug for the sake of wrapping everything up. Hundreds of thousands of people were put in camps, and thousands murdered, by the state! McCarthyian witch hunts and hearings, people turning in friends and neighbors, how would anything be okay? What the superpowered gestapo? Why did Homelander's plans for mass murder not continue, even as he began his fight with Butcher and Kimiko?
Ironic that The Boys finale felt like a Voughtslop movie.
