"Thank you, thank you." She dipped into an equally exaggerated bow before following Pharita out into the hallway. "I've worked very hard to earn such a title." They slipped into the elevator, Asa pressing the button for the lobby as she watched the numbers descend. By the time the elevator reached the ground floor, the two had already fallen into the familiar rhythm that always seemed to come so naturally between them.

Not long after, they found themselves tucked into a cozy restaurant, the lunch rush beginning to settle around them. The warmth from the kitchen drifted through the room alongside the smell of grilled meat, fresh rice, and spices that made Asa realize just how hungry she'd actually been. The moment their drinks were set down, she reached for hers with both hands, taking a grateful sip before letting out a quiet, satisfied sigh.

"Ugh, so good" she tended to the meat. Flipping once one side was finished. "So, how are things? How are your parents doing?"

by the time they were seated at the restaurant, the rich smell of food had completely won her over. she'd barely finished thanking the server for their drinks before taking a sip herself. her attention shifted to the grill as asa flipped the meat, watching it sizzle for a second before looking back up at the question.

"they're doing really well." the answer came with an immediate smile, one that softened her entire expression. "they've actually been traveling a little more lately. they send me pictures of their travels," she rested her chin lightly against her hand. "my mom still messages me almost every day, though. usually to ask if i've eaten." a quiet laugh escaped her. "sometimes she asks for a picture because she doesn't believe me." there wasn't an ounce of annoyance in her voice— if anything, she sounded fond with a hint of sadness, as one does whenever they miss their families.

"i miss them a lot, but it makes me happy knowing they're enjoying themselves." after a brief pause, she tilted her head slightly. "what about your family? are you still calling them everyday?"

Saturday afternoons were dangerous when Chloe and Pharita had nothing on their schedules. What started as "let's just have a look" somehow always turned into an entire day of shopping, iced coffees, and bags piling up in the back seat. Chloe's luxury coupe rolled smoothly through the streets of Apgujeong before gliding into the valet entrance of the upscale shopping district. She parked with practiced ease, grabbed her designer sunglasses from the center console, and stepped out, casually tossing the keys to the valet as if it were second nature.

An iced americano in one hand, she adjusted the strap of her handbag before spotting Pharita waiting just outside the entrance. "There you are," Chloe smiled, walking over to link her arm with hers. "So..." she glanced toward the rows of designer boutiques with an amused look, "...are we window shopping today?"

A pause. "...or are we about to make some very questionable financial decisions?"

"hi." a smile found its way onto her face as she let their arms link together without a second thought, already matching her pace. she followed chloe's gaze toward the boutiques lining the street, all polished windows and carefully arranged displays that seemed designed to tempt people inside. it was quiet for a beat before she let out a soft laugh. "i think we both know we're really bad at window shopping."

the answer came far too quickly for someone who was supposed to be convincing. her lips pressed together for a moment as if she should at least try to defend herself, but she couldn't. "do you mind if we stop to grab coffee? i want one" she mentioned after seeing gawon with hers.

lia had always liked places that buzzed with quiet life. shopping districts were strange that way, crowded enough that nobody paid too much attention to any one person, yet familiar enough that she still found herself pulling the brim of her cap a little lower out of habit. even dressed simply in an oversized sweater, loose denim, and a canvas tote slung over one shoulder, she couldn't quite switch off the awareness that came with being recognized every now and then. she spotted pharita near the entrance they'd agreed on, and an easy smile found its way across her face. she lifted a hand in greeting as she closed the distance between them.

"hello" she stopped beside her, adjusting the strap of her bag before letting her gaze wander toward the rows of storefronts stretching ahead. every window seemed determined to lure people inside with carefully arranged displays, and she caught herself lingering on one decorated with soft neutral knits. "...i'm already telling myself i don't need anything," she admitted with a sheepish smile. "was there anything you actually wanted to look for today..." she asked, tilting her head slightly. "...or are we just letting our eyes decide for us?"

pharita smiled the moment she spotted lia approaching, returning the small wave before taking in her outfit for a second longer than necessary. "hi." her eyes curved warmly. "you look really cozy today." it was said so matter-of-factly that it almost sounded like an observation she'd been keeping to herself until now.

her gaze followed lia's toward the storefront lined with neatly folded sweaters, and a quiet laugh escaped her. "i feel like everyone says that before they accidentally leave with three bags." she adjusted the strap of her own purse against her shoulder. "it's like a universal shopping rule."

at the question, she hummed thoughtfully, glancing down the street as if the answer might be waiting somewhere in one of the windows.

"i need new sundresses," she looked back at lia with a small smile. "the ones i have don't fit my style anymore. i was thinking something colorful. i saw some online that i thought would be really cute. do you have anything specific you were shopping for?"

Asa had been lounging on the couch for a few minutes now, phone in hand as she mindlessly scrolled through whatever had managed to steal her attention for more than five seconds. Every now and then she'd glance toward the hallway leading to the bedrooms, wondering how much longer Pharita would be. Not that she minded waiting. They'd already agreed over text that Asa would hang out in the living room while Pharita finished getting ready, and honestly, it gave Asa an excuse to do absolutely nothing before they left. The quiet footsteps eventually pulled her attention away from her screen. She looked up just as Pharita stepped into the living room, a grin spreading across her face almost immediately. "All set?" Asa slipped her phone into the pocket of her hoodie before pushing herself off the couch. Her eyes drifted over Pharita for a second, and she couldn't help the amused smile that tugged at her lips. "Wait..." She tilted her head slightly. "Is that a new top?"

Asa instinctively glanced down at her own outfit before letting out a bashful chuckle. "Really?" She scratched lightly at the back of her neck. "Thanks. I almost changed, too." At Pharita's question, Asa nodded without hesitation, already reaching for the pair of sneakers she'd left by the front door. "Definitely." She slipped them on before grabbing her small crossbody bag from the entryway. "The sooner we leave, the sooner we get to eat." She flashed Pharita a sheepish grin before opening the door for the two of them. "After you."

pharita glanced down at herself almost instinctively when asa pointed out her top, fingers lightly pinching at the hem as if seeing it through someone else's eyes. "hm?" she looked back up before smiling. "oh— yeah. i bought it a little while ago, but this is the first time i've actually worn it." she gave the fabric another quick look before adding, "i couldn't decide if i liked it or not." truthfully, she'd stood in front of her closet debating between three different outfits before finally settling on this one. hearing asa notice it made her feel surprisingly reassured.

"you almost changed?" her brows lifted with playful disbelief. "then we would've both been standing in our rooms having the exact same crisis." she smiled, shaking her head. "i changed twice."

as asa mentioned food, pharita had already slipped into her own shoes. "i knew there was a reason i liked going out with you." there was an easy warmth to her voice as she straightened back up. "your priorities are exactly where they should be." when asa stepped aside and gestured for her to go first, pharita blinked once before a teasing smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "such a gentleman."

she dipped into a tiny, overly formal curtsy that lasted all of two seconds before dissolving into another quiet laugh. "thank you." stepping past asa, she waited just outside the dorm until they were side by side before starting toward the elevator. "so..." she glanced over with genuine curiosity. "what are you in the mood for today? are we being responsible and picking one place, or are we accidentally turning this into a food tour? you know what i would like to go afterward? one of those dog cafes."

pharita took one last look at herself in the mirror before smoothing an invisible wrinkle from the front of her outfit. she wasn't usually the type to spend forever deciding what to wear, but she had changed twice after convincing herself the first choice felt too casual and the second one looked like she had tried too hard. eventually, she'd settled somewhere comfortably in the middle. with a satisfied little nod, she grabbed her phone and slipped it into her bag before making her way out of her room.

the dorm was quieter than usual, the soft sound of her slippers against the floor filling the silence until she stepped into the living room. spotting asa already there, her face brightened almost instantly. "oh, you're already ready." a small laugh escaped her as she walked over, eyes briefly flickering over asa's outfit with quiet admiration.

she adjusted the strap of her bag on her shoulder before offering a warm smile, the kind that came effortlessly whenever she was around someone she was comfortable with. "you look really cute, by the way." the compliment left her naturally. "should we head out?"

Momo smiles and laughs, shaking her head. "Actually, I'm not that great at cooking either. Rather chaotic, if I'm honestly." She admits, a slightly guilty when she admits and realises that they will probably do terribly with their dish. "I'll do my best to make sure that it's edible which is... somewhat the purpose of it all, right?"

She looks at the ingredients laid out on the counter, humming to herself in thought before her attention is grabbed by the hosts.

There's a influx of information coming in, talking about what they'll be making, how the hosts will randomly ask questions and each time they answer correctly, they'll win new ingredients to add to their dish. Momo tries to take it all in, looking over at Pharita to see if she's doing well but there's a feeling of relief when they mention that the dish is just kimbap. Basic, simple, easy to make kimbap.

"There's no way we can mess this up." Momo whispers to the younger woman as the host makes some kind of joke about how even children know how to make this.

pharita couldn't help but smile at the confession, the corners of her eyes crinkling slightly. "that actually makes me feel a little better," she admitted with a quiet laugh. "at least if we're chaotic, we'll be chaotic together." her attention shifted to the hosts as they explained the rules. she listened carefully, nodding every so often while mentally sorting through everything they were saying. answer questions, earn ingredients, make kimbap. simple enough, in theory. when the final dish was revealed, she let out the smallest sigh of relief.

"kimbap?" she repeated, her shoulders relaxing. "okay, i was worried they were going to ask us to make something much more complicated." at momo's whisper, pharita glanced over before instinctively looking toward the cameras with an amused smile. "you said that a little too confidently," she whispered back, trying not to laugh. she reached for the bamboo mat, carefully straightening it on the counter before looking back at momo. "but... i believe in us." there was a tiny pause before her grin widened just a little. "mostly."

the café isn't particularly special, but somewhere along the way it had become theirs. tucked away from the usual crowds and cameras, it served its purpose well enough. sunghoon arrives first as he usually does, settled into the corner booth with a drink already sitting untouched in front of him. schedules had gotten busier lately, making these occasional meetups harder to keep consistent, but somehow they always found time. maybe that was why he valued them as much as he did.

his gaze lifts when the door opens, immediately spotting the familiar figure making her way inside. the corner of his mouth tugs upward into something faint but genuine as he raises a hand in greeting. ❝i was starting to think you were going to make me wait all afternoon,❞ he says once she's close enough to hear, voice carrying the usual dry amusement. ❝how've you been? surviving?❞ @pharitak

pharita spotted him almost immediately, a small smile appearing as she made her way through the café. she slipped into the seat across from him, setting her bag down before letting out a soft laugh.

"i'm only, like, three minutes late." her eyes narrowed playfully at him before she tilted her head, taking him in for a second.

"seriously, though." she rested her chin in her palm. "you're annoyingly handsome today. such a hunk" another laugh escaped her before she finally settled back into her seat.

"but i've been okay. busy." she nodded lightly. "a lot of schedules, a lot of practice, not enough sleep. the usual." her gaze softened. "what about you? are you surviving? i've seen all of the changes you've had to get used to over the past few months. crazy stuff. are you even sleeping?"

In between busy schedules, one thing that Momo loves to do is variety shows. Even if it's still a schedule, even if it's something that she needs to be 'on' for — she loves being able to have fun with some of the different shows.

This one in particular is a cooking show where different idols are teamed up to make something in the allotted time while answering questions. A game of chaos. A game of fun. A game Momo couldn't wait to participate in.

As she enters the set, Momo is introduced to her team member — Pharita. With a sweet smile, the older woman bows and greets her dongsaeng, remembering seeing a few of the younger girl groups dance challenges circling when they had their last comeback. "Hello, nice to meet you!"

"Everyone! Get ready!" The director and crew begin to scurry around, getting cameras checked and making sure they are ready and in position.

"Shall we go to our station?" The woman spins on her heel, excited to get started.
