Selena felt her heart ache at his declaration of love. It was a good ache but it still stung for some reason. She was hurting the person she loved and it felt terrible. She knew that the life she led came with risks but she chose so many of those, and now staring at the man before her -- the risks didn't seem worth it. Nothing was worth that upset look on that beautiful face. "I love you too." She said softly.

"Ask me again." The witch reached out to his hand, "please." She needed to hear him say not to go again.

I was gone far gone, worse than I'd ever been when I was let out of that cage. You brought me back, showed me love. Made me feel things again." Hansel said.

"I feel this ache inside whenever you leave. You have purpose other than dying. You're not expendable."

"So what is it?" Selena asked softly. It was true that she loved helping people - it was why she was created, it was her purpose. Or it was. As of late, she felt a new purpose but she knew the hunter life for long it just stayed with her. "You saved yourself. I just held your hand along the way." The witch smiled.

"I feel it too." She moved over to him, placing her hand over his heart. "I know, I just- if I don't protect them, who will?"

"I don't want you to go." Hansel admitted. "This is dangerous hunt they're readying for. I want to be selfish. I never get to be selfish." The vampire frowned. "Stay, please. Let me be selfish. I don't want to keep losing you over and over."

Selena paused her packing and looked up at him. It wasn't secret he disliked her job but he never outright told her not to go before. She wasn't mad, just taken back. "You don't want me to go?" She frowned. "I die no matter what though, this way it has purpose.."

Reggie sat making arrows for a hunt he had coming up. When the door to his chambers open. "How is Jehan?" He asked Selena. "And Christopher for that matter, pretty sure he was more upset about Jehan's broken nose than he was." The Merry Man chuckled.

"A bit brave of him or stupid, taunting his cousin. The boy tamed a dragon." Reggie sat back in his chair. "I will say, I'm a bit proud of him for it."

Selena smiled, letting out a soft sigh. "He's alright. Fleur has some remedies brewing for the physical wounds. For his pride? That will take some time to heal." She shook her head. "Christopher is finally down for a nap after fussing so much." An interesting and humorous thing to say about their grown son. "I wonder where he would get such a worry-wart personality from..." The princess feigned thought beefore glancing at her husband with a pointed look.

"You do not have to sound so proud." She smirked. "But he is now insisting he trains harder so that he can get pay back."
